Just got my new Yojimbo
I love this design. But I'm curious, the liner on the compression lock goes almost all the way over to the other side. Is this normal? Is it okay? The compression lock on my Para doesn't even go half way. I think that it should be fine, but I also think that means it'll develop vertical play very so...

Have you ever been to their store in the city? I dont get up there often but like to stop in when I do. But even in the store not a big selection. Yeah, I've gone there plenty times. I don't know the guys well over there, but a couple of them recognize my face. Not a great selection of low-medium p...

I generally order online. I like to support local businesses, but the local shops around here charge MSRP or more. I have no clue how they do business. I can get a CF ZDP Caly 3 online for $140 shipped and they're asking $250 plus tax. I can't help them if they can't even come close. Tad Gear seems ...

Handles, which variation of materials are tougher?
I'm thinking particularly about G-10 vs G-10 with nested steel liners and FRN vs FRN with nested steel liners. I know that the liners can make an FRN handle stiffer, but does it make it tougher or stronger? In both G-10 and FRN, when it's nested, that means less G-10/FRN than if it were with the lin...

I edc a Mini Manix with no problems. I also have a Para, and though I really like it, I like the Mini Manix better. It does come down to presonal preference though. I can carry my Mini Mamix in the gym with just windbreakers on with no problem. If you're used to carrying smaller knives, then it's go...

I think most of us are on the same page here. I mainly like to use my phone when it's important. I don't like chatting. I try to minimize phone calls and call length. We as a species have gotten around just fine for an innumerable about of time without cell phones. I think that for some reason, a lo...

I answer my calls if I can. How do you know they will tell you something you dont care about? I can understand answering the phone then telling the person you dont feel like talking if they start chatting, but why assume they will waste your time? My friends no that if I don't answer my phone, they...

Cell phones: How available do you allow yourself to be?
I don't answer my phone all of the time. In fact, I tend to avoid a lot of personal calls. I just don't like the idea of people being able to interrupt me to talk about things that I wouldn't care about 30 minutes later. Someone feels like picking up their phone so they can talk about nothing import...

ignoramus...my advice it just let this thread die. most of us have been in the same shoes about inquiring about selling/trading on here when we first joined the forum. i myself brought this up in a thread and was told the same thing...let BF's handle that side of the knife collecting. if Sal wanted...

No offense, but I think it's the height of rudeness to take a poll on changing the rules here. It's like me taking a poll on whether to allow smoking in your home. I have to disagree. I see no harm in asking people what they think about this. If Sal wants to keep it that way, he's certainly welcome...

Who here would go for a Buy/Sell/Trade forum?
Sharkattack's recent thread got me wondering. Who's interested in this? It just seems like the best place to get the models that so many of us are working to find.
If you're not interested in this, why?

Fantasy Collaborations
All this talk of fantasy/ideal knives, let's talk fantasy collaborations. Collaborations with other makers and companies. I sure hope Sal and the gang are watching these threads. Here's my list: Companies: Fallkniven Mcusta Makers: Darrel Ralph Rick Hinderer The guy who make the "Hard" kni...
