H1 Rescue Assist drop?

Hey all,

Any word on the release of the H1 Assist?

I think being H1 makes the knife ideal for its intended purpose and can't wait to experience the Assist and its function driven design.

I am very excited for this one!

Re: Spyderco Calendar Contest...

Just a friendly reminder for those of you who have the 2015 Spyderco Calendar that we have a contest going right now. It opened on the 22nd and closes on 29-Apr. Check your calendar for details! I didn't know a contest is going right now. Why hasn't it been announced here? Unfortunately there is no...

Re: I knew this day would come...Spydie storage is full!

Spyderpac's are the way to go for storage (especially since they went from a 32 sleeve to a 30), but don't underestimate the quick-draw - that being quick access to your EDC rotation. It'll make the difference between carry/non-carry when you're late for work in the morning! I always have a couple ...

Re: I knew this day would come...Spydie storage is full!

Jeez. I've been putting outlying funds towards my shooting/firearm hobby and hiking lately, and have been neglecting my knife fetish, so my Spydie collection is sitting at a piddly 8 or 9. I may need to step up my game here. I have had my shooting/firearm hobby on the back burner because of a varie...

Re: Benchmade

I have a little bit of experience with BM and have not found them to my liking. I know several people who have really liked BM knives, and even got one for my brother. I just have not been able to enjoy the ergos. But then again I am just a Spydie junky, I can hardly function without a spydiehole. I...

Man this thread makes me hungry for a steak. I was grilling some chicken thighs lastnight, and should have snapped a shot of my Tuff in there with them. There will most certainly be a next time!

Re: 1,000,000 Post Celebration Contest!

Thanks for the contest! Good luck to all! I have dabbled on many forums, but the Spyderco forum is the one forum, and honestly website in general, that I visit dang near every day. The community here is second to none, and despite having never met any one in person on here, I feel a great sense of c...

A great story! It is always refreshing to hear of things like this.

I have dabbled in many forums for a variety of different hobbies of mine. This is by far the best forum to be a part of, with the greatest conversation to boot.

Re: Sharpening forum

I would LOVE this Sal! Sharpening is such a dedicated and in depth (thanks to folks like Cliff!) activity that it could definitely fill another forum!

Not to mention, a sharpening forum would help spread the love of sharpening that is great to see in knife owners.

Re: I knew this day would come...Spydie storage is full!

Definitely a good idea, and probably get the large..I started with the 18..working on my 3rd 30 now...also if you have smaller knives...like the bug set, lady bugs, man bugs, you can put them horizontally under some of the smaller knives....up to about Tenacious size. image.jpg Also helps keep the ...

Re: Schempp Bowie after 2 months of carry - pics and review

The small cutaway in the bolster opposite the liner, allows easier access to the lock, making closing the knife much easier than the Navaja, while still being very secure. This was one of my bigger concerns as it requires a bit more finesse to get the Navaja lock disengaged. Glad to hear it is bett...

Re: Bounty of the Forest

Nice haul! I love mushroom hunting! I worked as a forester in the redwood/doug-fir forests of Mendocino county in Northern CA for a little while, and finding mushrooms was a perk of the job! We mostly found an assortment of boletes, with a good amount of Oyster mushrooms and some chantrelles. Though...

This.

Especially on the Tuff, but a few other Taiwan made models as well.

Great pictures!

I spot Doug-fir, Madrone, Redwood, plenty of sword fern, possibly some sugar pine cones, and then the top photo with the native..I can't remember the name of that plant!

Keep em coming!
