Re: What Are You Reading ?

I finally finished 'Tinker, Tailer, Soldier, Spy' by John le Carre, and have now started Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. ".....You're going to do a little job for me, Peter" ;) If you enjoyed it, I'd reccomend the follow ups The Honorable Schoolboy and Smiley's People....if the slig...

Awesome collection! I love the Rescues!

When did they convert to metal clips? I didn't realize there were so many plastic clipped!

This one belongs in a few threads, as it is my newest Spydie (and then of course "Spydie and meat" as well as "What's in my pocket")

Love the classy Delica, can't wait to get the matching Endura!

Re: The pain of being a dedicated "user"

I definitely would be considered more of a collector, but all of them see pocket time from time to time. The hardest justifications I have are for fixed blades, those just hardly get any real use because my opportunities to carry a fixedblade are few and far between. But I still have a Puukko, Bushc...

Re: Which Taichung first?

who loves Spyderco knives and who knows knives very well, thinks the ones made in Taichung are pieces of garbage and not worth the money. I don't think he knows as much as you think. I have heard of people not liking the Taichungs because they are made in Taiwan, or because they can be more expensi...

Re: Spyderco shirts

I have another idea. What if someone volunteered to make a small run of these in an approved shirt/design. We could charge $5-$10 over cost per shirt and agree to donate all profit to our favorite charity, which we could determine by poll. I know it would be contingent upon Spyderco even approving ...

Re: H1 Rescue Assist drop?

I was just in the SFO last week and its not there yet. I talked to the folks there about it but didn't get any specific timeframe. I did handle the regular assist while I was there though and I really love the design. I'm not usually a big fan of blunt tips but the overall design of the Assist is s...

[Would also be cool if we could include Sal and Eric's stamps we see on the Golden knives as well. That is a pretty cool idea! I would even be interested in one that had ALL the different knife designer signatures/logos Spyderco has put out over the years. Might be a really cool way of displaying t...

Re: How Good is the Manix 2 XL?

I love mine. Most comfortable knife to handle! I have no blade wobble and it has seen some pretty decent use. It is really wide in pocket for me though so it doesn't get carried as often as it should. My S30V model has a crazy edge on it and is a fantastic slicer.

Re: PITS - bead blast, blue anodized, bead blast blue anodized!

I prefer the bead blasting or original finish.

I like both the current finish and bead blasting a lot, but bead blasting does have the added benefit of hiding any scratches that build up over time on the handle.

I am looking forward to picking this one up in the future.
