The AD15 does look good.
Cold Steel does a great job offering excellent designs at affordable prices.

Re: No sharpening November
I don’t think I could do this.
Just the other day my Delica started cutting foam a little raggedy so I hit it with a pocket stone right on the spot.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
2510A99F-C504-4656-9AD0-82F7F4D61EA5.jpeg I had this Cold Steel Luzon for over a week now and it is a very nice inexpensive knife. Usually I dislike flippers but I am liking the design and feel of this knife. For a liner lock it is solid, it does have a manual safety but I don’t use it. It is 8cr s...

Re: Missing 411: Really Strange
I’ve read 3 of Paulides books and if what he is documenting is accurate there is some very strange things going on in our wilds. Even if it is a super small percentage of the population that is affected by this doesn’t mean something odd isn’t going on and I give the guy a bit a credit for depth of...

Re: Manix2 4v marbled carbon fiber exclusive
I’m liking just about everything about this knife. It is nice to see a run using the hollow grind again. I do have a 154cm M2 with a hollow grind but I got it right around the time the lightweight s110v version came out and it really never got much use. I’m hoping these don’t sell out too quickly as...

Re: V-TOKU2 Delica has been released
I had forgotten that I preordered one from SMKW in December and it just shipped.
The Endura is great, this steel sharpens up so nice.
There are so many great Spyderco’s being released right now.

Re: New to Spyderco.. What is recommended?
Welcome to the forum!
You are on a good start with what you have now.
I suggest something with serrations next.
At work I use a serrated Meadowlark Hawkbill and it is plenty tough.
Spyderco does serrations very well.

A 52100 UKPK would be great.
So far I’ve held off on the PM2 and Manix because I would rather have frn than G10 or carbon fiber.

Re: I finally bit the bullet and bought the CS Manix 2
I also just got the CS LW Manix 2. Ordered it Saturday morning and it was in my mail box on Monday. Pretty sure CS is out of Idaho and I am right outside Philadelphia so imo it arrived quickly. I’m in the same boat as I definitely don’t need it but it was too cool and such a good deal that I decided...

Re: Against the grain...
I go against the grain when it comes to steels. I love 8cr, BD1, Aus8, VG10 and other lowly steels. These steels are great because they get sharp easily and I enjoy sharpening. I also enjoy all the fancy steels that Spyderco releases also, still need to try Maxemet, and seeing how they all compare. ...

Re: Police 4 (K390) HRC?
Wow!!! A lightweight Police model in K390 will be awesome!
Lately all I’ve been carrying are frn models, I like g10 but the lightweights feel so much better in pocket.
The new LW Police model will be perfect if it comes with a wire clip but I’m sure that isn’t happening.

3764AB1C-4EDA-47C8-86B0-8AE3A0E2336E.jpeg I finally broke down and got the CS Manix 2 in S90V. I’ve had the CS Native for a few months and I am getting used to the S90V. For me it is easier to maintain than S110V or at least I can touch it up without resorting to diamonds. Now I’m probably gonna or...

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I think 8cr is a fantastic steel for the price especially with Spydercos heat treat.
Some more eye catching colors of frn and some new blade shapes for existing models would really gain interest for non knife folks.
The Meadowlark is a great model and a wharncliff version would tops.

I think this Endura looks great and will most likely grab one when they drop.

Re: Very DISAPPOINTED w/ laminated steel sprint runs
I just got my v-Toku Endura and the lamination lines are probably the best of all my cladded blades and I have most of the super blue and HAP40 runs.
As long as the cladding isn’t in the cutting edge I don’t see the problem.

Re: Interesting edge retention results
I love that we have access to all these steels with Spyderco. Just this week I got a Native 5 in S90V from CS and traded a GEC for the Sage with comp lock. These are my fun weekend type knives but at work I mostly go with aus8, bd-1, inox, and 8cr steels. Some days I use my knives pretty hard and I...
