If I had to narrow it down to just one it would be the Jumpmaster 2 or the Bob Lum Darn Dao.
Jumpmaster 2.
Beast of a knife.

Re: Cast Iron Cookware: Trendy Again! Who Else Likes It?
Seasoning is a lot like building a patina, just give it time and keep on cookin' This is key. I tossed all my wedding nonstick calphalon set and use cast iron everyday. The more you use them, the better it gets. If I do get a little sticking, it rubs right out with a little hot water and a scrub sp...

Re: Spyderedged Sprint Runs? It's Time Has Come
Good post JD. I know they are going to release the Pacific Salt PE in LC200N. It be nice to see a sprint run in SE LC200N as well before they change the handle. C As you are mentioning the nitrogen based steel LC200N I can't help but wonder if this wouldn't be a good time for a Sprint Run of the Ca...

Re: 9/11: Never Forget
I was on my way to work when the phone rang, which struck me as a little odd getting a call at that time in the morning. It was my father, and he told me to immediately turn on the television. I then watched with confusion as a second airplane crashed into the second tower. Gathered my things, and w...

Re: Carbon vs Stainless Steel
This is my favorite set of carbons that I like to take with me when camping, bbq, etc. and store in a tool roll. CASE XX Old Forge + some early carbon CASE XX Fillet's. There is not much that this set can't handle, except being around water for extended periods. They deliver excellent performance, b...

The blade should patina to matte out with the clip. But I was hoping for a torx pivot. Make sure you use compressed air to blow it out if your getting it wet.

That's where I am at these days.
Don't have a problem with 440C, but the heavy duty blade isn't getting used. Now slim it out with the same materials, make it more agile, might take a second look.

I am going to step up and say that it was me that made that comment, and felt that some of Michael's replies lately have been harsh. It was just my off the cuff observation, and it was more to lighten the mood of the forum, being that we are just talking about knives, and this forum has been a bit o...

@SA,
You would prefer AEBL over 12C27?
Be interesting to hear your thoughts on that.

I didnt know any "better" than 1095 or 440C for about 33 years of my life. Always served me well. I think if I didn't come here, I would still be there.

Re: Serrata review
Great video.
Definitely shows what the knife is capable of.
And I think there is a market for this style.
You know AEB-L, w/ a thinner spine might be nice steel run for this knife?

Re: Serrata review
Sorry to derail this thread.
We will move it to PM.
Love the shape of the Serrata.
Do you think we would ever see a sprint run, perhaps in 4V and or A2 keep it cheap?
I know, steel snob. But I have had a lot of 440C.

Re: Finally picked up a Goldenstone
I would never rely on a Goldenstone as my only sharpener but it's smaller and easier to use in the field so it stays in my EDC bag. I don't wanna break out a Sharpmaker at work. What I really want is a Sharpmaker rod holder that will hold 2 stones and fold up when not being used. That would be nice...
