ajnova, Welcome to the forums! I am posting a pic of 4 of the knives mentioned (Endura (black blade), C10PBBK; Native, C41PBK; Native III, C78PBK; Calypso Jr. Gray, C52PGY). Hopefully this will assist you in making an informed decision on which knife to purchase first -- notice that buying "ONE...

Chris,
That's a really nice gesture for those lucky scouts, and thanks for working to get some pics posted!

Deacon,
Thanks for asking on behalf of us inquiring minds.

I don't always. I bought extras of the gray Calypso Jr's, because my wife liked them too, and I also wanted to keep one away in case something happens to the one I will carry. However, I've started buying models in pairs -- 1 PE & 1 SE.

I agree with Mr. Blake that the Calypso doesn't feel like the Jr. However, I would also purchase one from a new run if/when they were made available. <SIGH> I really need a pay raise to keep up with my obsession. :-D

This is my normal duty carry (just on my person). I've got a Surefire G-2 & a Gerber multi-tool in my bag, too.

pvr4 -- Did they have any more in PE or SE?

Though I haven't personally handled one, I think the Persian has the right looks & design to win a place on many people's list to collect -- it's been put on mine.

I'm sure your mind is already racing with thoughts of "ThroughSpydercoHole" projects with that one-of-a-kind piece! It's really great!

I forgot to mention that I did search for the forum for answers to my question, but most post dealt only with the type of lube to use.

Thanks.

How to properly clean & lube pocket knives?

I am in need of some of the forumites experience & knowledge. I am expecting to use warm, soapy water, and a "dobie" sponge to do the actual cleaning. I will follow this up with Sentry Solution's Marine Tuf-Cloth & Tuf-Glide (because that's what I've got). However, I'm not sure how...

The top of my list is a WTC knife. Next is a Chinook II -- I wasn't sure about this one until I read Firebat's post (with pics!) in the Spyderco Forum on BladeForums: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=285973 Finally, I am looking forward to the run of black G-10 Dodos.

I just purchased a SharpMaker 204MF, so I say bring on the recurve (with a frame lock). I prefer blade lengths in the 3.25-4.0 in. range.
