Re: Best price/service EU?
For the last 10 years I've been doing most of my purchases from Knifeworks. The downside for me it's not necessarily the shipping cost / customs, it's the fact I need to wait 10-14 days for the package to arrive... Whenever I feel the urge for instantaneous gratification I buy from Lamnia, typicall...

Re: Best price/service EU?
As some have said it's customs and fees we're worried about. Yes we pay high high prices in EU. But at least no surprises, customs, import fees, misc. charges etc. if we order from American shops. It's tempting but often backfires. How can it backfire? Fees are fixed and you can calculate them. If ...

Best price/service EU?
So the thread I'm basing this on has a lot of good info on American shops. Please list shops in the EU that you personally use and that give you good prices and service. I'll start it off with a known entity, Lamnia. They are friendly and answer emails quickly. They ship same day in my experience. T...

Good point. Thank you. I did not think about that.Evil D wrote:I wouldn't expect a factory ran forum to sticky where you can find parts not sold by them to modify their knives, it would be almost like authorizing it which Spyderco do not do. If this were an independent forum you might see something like that.

Tip down all the way for over 30 years. The only other option for me is tip sideways if I'm carrying a stockman in my pocket. No lanyards.

Re: Pacific Salt TiCN & Food Prep
I was thinking H1 would be great for food prep because you can wash the blade with hot soapy water and not oil it. Sounds pretty ideal and I'm going to get at least one for this when I can decide which one I want. Are there any parts that can rust on salt series folders? No, not at all. Some people...

Thanks I bookmarked that from your other post in my native frn thread. I haven't come across other recommendations for that site and I usually like to see a handful of comments before I take a chance with a new shop.

Re: A fake PM2 bought in Amazon
+1 for Lamnia. I bought twice from them in the last month and both orders were shipped immediately and the guy is really responsive. You pay pretty much list price and VAT in Finland is 24% but you get no surprises and great service. The guy has definitely made a new customer the way he has handled ...
