Re: Guided angle sharpening systems with FFG spyderco blades?

I'm wanting to pick up a guided angle sharpener, but since a lot of spyderco knives (including the ones I own) don't have flat spots on the blade to clamp onto, I could see some clamps not doing a good job holding the knife at a fixed angle. Do y'all have experience with these and could tell me whi...

Re: Looking for SpydieChef feedback

Hope everyone is having a great Christmas break. I am giving a hard look at the SpydieChef as my next knife purchase and wanted to know who has one and how they like/dis-like it, especially in the kitchen. I am looking to use it exclusively in the Kitchen. I already have a Caribbean PE and may just...

Re: Black/Gray Zome + Damascus Delica and Endura Distributor Exclusives

I have a question about VG-10 Damascus steel. Would the VG-10 Damascus technically be considered a different steel than regular VG-10? No, because it is a VG-10 core and the "Damascus is layered over it for effect. Are the layers over the VG-10 core VG-10 as well or is it something else?

Re: Help me pick my new Spyderco knife.

I don't think you're going to go wrong here, but I voted "other" for the Military. I can't get over how light this thing is for its size. The Spyderco Military has been tempting me but two things... I don’t really care for liner locks and if I’m not mistaken I heard on the forum somewhere...

Re: Your Spyderco Christmas Eve And Christmas Day EDC

Today at work (Christmas Eve) I have my Para 3 Lightweight with me.

Not sure what I’ll have in my pockets Christmas Day, probably the Tasman PE for those pesky zip ties and something classy like my Pattada or Kapara. Never know till it happens.

Re: Who is into fixed blades?

Those Fosters are gorgeous. This is one of my favorite fixed blades. I use it frequently to break fatwood chunks up for starting fires at camp sites or in my firepit. Also whittling basic stuff for fun, like spoons for camp cooking, tent pegs etc. $79 for FFG 60-61rc A2, fully contoured brown micar...

Re: Help me pick my new Spyderco knife.

Depending on a lot of factors as to why you want it in the first place. Are you wanting an EDC folder to carry every day? Or are you wanting it for special uses. From what I'm gathering you probably want it for an EDC type folder. If that's the case I would immediately go with any of the NATIVE mod...

Re: Help me pick my new Spyderco knife.

How about a Spyderco siren, made for waterway use, nice looking knife. Caribbean is an option too, maybe even one of the new lc200n pacific salt 2. All look nice and on my radar. Thanks for the response. I own all the of the models you listed. They are all great, although my new Pacific Salt has de...
