Re: Invitation to the 11th Amsterdam Spyderco meet 2015
The one time a year that knife-wise you're happy to be in Amsterdam instead of in the USA! :) Looking forward very much to this again. Thanks for reminding US (pun intended :) ) of that. I feel a little better now about not being able to go. There are Spyderco advantages to those of us in the US, t...

Re: Wayne Goddard lovers ?
Love this version but I quite like FRN, I haven't carried it much but I do think it's a good user. Both the blade and the handle are quite slim and it's quite low weight.

Re: What Spydeco is in your pocket today??
Would love a M4 Manix but it's the S110V lightweight. Have owned this, my first regular sized Manix, for a week now and it hasn't been out of my pocket since. Serious competition for the Para, largely because of the weight/FRN. I hope there's gonna be many Sprints in the FRN version. Would prefer th...

Hoping to get this package next month..
More M4 knives would be good for me as well, Para2 in tan G10-like the Manix2 they had and a Manix2 lightweight in tan FRN?! :D

Re: Tenacious durability?
Not great edge retention but easy to sharpen so great for a beater/utility knife. Nice design/blade shape and yes you do have to be a bit carefull with the linerlock on this one.
But you're probably already using it yourself by now. :D

The compression lock would be an improvement, but then again I think any Spydie without a compression lock would be improved by it..

Re: The PITS Folder - Unexpected Greatness
Thanks! Very enlightening. Since usually blade limits are just that, limit of blade length I presumed UK law also was about blade length and this seemed to me like 'wasting' already limited blade length. I think I personally would prefer a slightly shorter blade so the edge can get closer to the han...

Re: Poll: 3.5-inch EDC showdown!
Definitely PM2 but it may eventually get pushed aside a bit by the Manix lightweight that has only had the last 4 days in my pocket, prefer the shape and lock of the PM but love FRN and the light weight. Would probably be in love with the Gayle Bradley if it wasn't hollow ground and maybe a bit ligh...

Re: The PITS Folder - Unexpected Greatness
Gorgeous blade! Feels great as well, I handled it last year at the Amsterdam meet and have been having a hard time trying to get it off my mind. ;) Maybe I should start planning a trip to the UK so I have a better excuse.. :D Just think it's a shame the edge doesn't go a bit 'further', I like to car...

Re: UK Penknife sprints
Would love dark blue FRN but would love that on any blade.. If only there would be a lightweight Para in FRN
Have only owned my first S110V blade for half a week, lightweight Manix so can't say much about that but voted for M4 although 52100 sounds very good as well.

Re: Hawaii knives
Never had trouble with corrosion on folders while travelling the Pacific ('06-'07 with a benchmade Griptilian and '09-'10 with a D2 PM1) keep them out of salt water and always rinse any blade if you've been cutting acidic fruits.. The restaurant I worked at in the 90's always had 1 big serrated blad...

Looks like a nice edc and with the slim blade it would also be nice for carving!

Re: Military or PM2 as all-around EDC? (if can pick just 1)
Both great as edc but I prefer the Para since I often prefer a smaller blade for fine carving or similar work and also don't really carry a blade as a means of self defense.(when I want a bigger blade I'd rather have a fixed blade) I also prefer the compression lock. If you want a big folder, go for...
