Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!
I mean I don't see a problem with people respectfully telling their story. I think it's important for Spyderco to realize that while it was a cool event, not everyone had a good time. Some people wasted hours of their day for nothing. In the army we have an after action review. We discuss good thin...

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores
Keeping it in-person only may be the wisest course. For you maybe. I don't share your opinion at all. I appreciate that they have these online sales despite all moaning and groaning. Was it a little rough? Yes! Did it take some time and persistence. Yes! Would I have been mad if I put in all that e...

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores
When I was finally able to login AND select an item, it would take forever to reload. the only item left was the Crucarta PM2 but I was never able to actually get to the payment screen and when I did, it was out of stock. Made my wife happy.

Re: Finally got my first Spyderco
Hello, all. After an acute case of “knife steel nerdery”, it took awhile for me to decide on which would be my first Spyderco. I decided to get a PM2 in Magnacut. However, as you all know, those aren’t available yet. To tide me over, I went ahead and got the S45VN version with blade G10 scales. I k...

Naw, I use em as-is. Nothing much I feel compelled to alter. I use, sharpen, use again,,,,
Though, if I could find a Ti Meadowlark, I'd snag it and swap the scales onto a Hawkbill.

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!
Oh you know it will be K390. Hard competition between my Goddard and the S2XL LW right now. I'm alternating days. Sounds like me. Both different but very appealing in their own ways. I count myself lucky to be able to own both! Personally, I'd love to see a LW S2XL in Cruwear but agree that K390 ma...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
Received all my summer sale buys. Stretch 2 XL is by far my favourite https://i.imgur.com/VunvqTk.jpg What a haul you made. Yes, that Stretch @ XL is a great one! Enjoy. I'd love them to make that version in LW FRN as well. I had that PM2 in my cart but they sold out before I completed the transact...

Re: Whats the next hot piece?
I could imagine the PM2 Salt in Magnacut will be a pretty "hot next piece"... https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=94486&start=40#p1702333 Personally I am more excited for the Native Chief lightweight - if it comes (also) in full SE https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.p...

Re: Deer Hunting Mule - current and recent steel choices
My thought too. In a fixed knife, I tend to want a tougher blade. I did recently pick up a ZDP-Stretch 2 primarily as aback up knife for skinning and cleaning pigs. The ZDP doesn't dull near as quickly as my fixed blade did. I just don't use it for any prying or such.

Re: Deer Hunting Mule - current and recent steel choices
Pretty much any mule is a good choice. Either of the 2 available would be a good choice. I am interested in the subject What about the corrosion resistance? I know AEB-L is good, but T15? I cut many deer, and cleaning the blade immediately is not always an option. Plus, I am in PNW, so I am often s...

Re: Seki City (LC200N) Salt Knives Fit and Finish
I have no complaints about my PE LC200N Salt 2. It opens like it should, stays closed when it should, cuts when I need it to, and doesn't rust. It is light, easy to pack, and my go to when I'm going to be in the water.

Re: Deer Hunting Mule - current and recent steel choices
I really like my Magnacut Mule. But the AEB-L MT37P with it's higher toughness than Spy27 and S45VN might be a good candidate.

Re: What knives do you miss?
I miss my Spy27 N5. Lost it yesterday when I left it at the hotel I stayed at. I rode a charity bike ride and had to get out early and in my rush forgot to pack it. Really bummed. It was a gift from my wife and son. I just ordered a replacement from WMK.

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!
Is the lightweight Stretch XL as solid as the Goddard? Asking about handle flex and liners. I picked mine up on Monday and carried it while I push-mowed the lawn last night. Overall, very impressed. The weight is great. I like the clip placement, too. It gives me plenty of purchase when I pull the ...

I 've come to really appreciate the thin blade. So glad I nabbed a second one just minutes before they sold out.
