Re: Sandrin Torino On-going EDC review (pic heavy)
Thank you for putting these on my radar! I'm really interested in the 4" pairing knife they make. Would love to get one eventually.

Re: The Swayback is awesome!
The insert on my swayback is great! No stick. Only thing I've noticed is how sharp the edges are when blade is in open position. With the lockbar in use the edges of the scale are Very sharp. Not a deal breaker tho for me. Still loving this knife!

Re: The Swayback is awesome!
Couldn't agree more! Mine new Swayback arrived today as well! And holy smokes is it sharp. Love this XHP! Mine came with a Lynch clip which I'm loving! But totally agree this knife deserves more love! Great revamp on a classic design pulled off wonderfully. Only thing that held me off was the price ...

Re: Bought my fourth Shaman today...
Well I had to do it Sal. I liked the Shaman in so many ways but couldn't get over over the nub. Sal I love Spydercos in so many ways and really appreciate you and this community! It hurt my finger on closing. Thank you for all you do in the knife world! Your kindness and humbleness are an inspiratio...

Re: Do we do people disservice?
Personally it's not as much about the steel as it is the sharpening. Murry Carter has videos where he sharpens and shaves with a butter knife and a spoon! Learning to sharpen i think has to come from the individual. There's plenty on YT to learn from. Shawn and Michael are the 2 I've learned the mos...

Re: Bought my fourth Shaman today...
Absolutely each to there own! I'm just showing what I did. And dig it. I tried to get used to it. I bought it in Golden last year and really tried. Mostly on closing the knife it bothered me the most. Sal your right once off you can't put it back and I'm sure it's a safety item. I do not regret taki...

Re: Bought my fourth Shaman today...
Not trying to hijack your thread just wanted to show you how I shaved that bump off the ricasso. Made all the difference. So much better now

Re: Show your mods!
The bump-ectomy makes a pretty dramatic change! Lightens up the look. Did you groove the oem scales? I saw your pic in another thread and thought they were Putman scales. Nice work! Removing that bump made all the difference! So much better now. Yes I did do the scales myself. Here's some more pics...

Re: Show your mods!
So I started with taking the bump off part of the ricasso. Really bothered me on closing/ opening. It's more pm2 like now. Then moved on to the scales. They were much too slick! Much better now and not as hard to do as I thought. 20210413_102922_copy_1512x2016.jpg 20210413_102930_copy_1512x2016.jpg ...

Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?
I can not keep my PM2 in 52100 out of my pocket! It always comes back. I find myself reaching for it time and again. Idk, it just works. Great steel, fidget factor, and fun to sharpen!
