I just run mine under the tap when they get sandy. Sometimes I have to work the blade open and closed to get it all out, but it does eventually all come out. :D

Most of those blades don't have that high polish anymore since they have all been used to some extent and I get tired of polishing them up that level. :) Out of all of them, I think my favorite is probably the M-43 followed closely by the BDC. The M-43 is just a beast of a chopper and I have done so...

Hey, I saw your post over on BF and since you were getting so many great replies, I didn't add my own. I have a few HI's and they are indeed great blades. I think something in the 15" range makes a great all-around camp blade and can handle most anything from chopping to food prep without being...

Not including the LB on my keys, I usually carry 2-3. My primary in my RFP (this week it's my PPT), backup in my RBP (this week it's my black Military) and a SE hawkbill IWB (last few months it's been my Tasman). So that translates to a one small (3" +/-) one large folder (3.5"-4") an...

I had my D4W done by Tom, and it's awesome! I would highly recommend starting with a D4W and having him regrind it. Also, if you want a quick response, your best bet is to give him a ring. He's real busy and doesn't always respond to emails and/or pm's. Super nice guy to talk to and does great work ...

For me, I would have to say the Manix 2. Never really had too much interest until the pink sprint run. Snagged one for a good price and it was love at first handling. Now I have two pink ones and also just got a standard black model. Wish I could get a blue and/or green one at a reasonable price. Oh...

I just got my CE in and like it ALOT so far. Yes, the spring tension is lighter than my Urban, but still better than my Opinels. ;) I love the look of the stonewashed Gin-1 blade and mine came blisteringly sharp and perfectly centered. I really like the look and feel of the grey FRN too. It is super...

Hair splitting means exactly that - having a blade sharp enough to make a fuzz stick out of an individual hair. For me, that means being able to catch an individual hair on my arm or hand with the blade, and rather than push the blade all the way through to cut it in half (sometimes referred to as &...
