Re: Lost my best friend today...

Hey Capt'n, Heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Been through it myself. Was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. Cried like a little girl the entire day. Here's something that I hope will help. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that...

Re: Help Identifying Spyderco Model

Hello, New member, just joined today after lurking for several years. I have a few Spyderco knives which are among my favorites for carry and daily use. I came across this one and cannot determine which model it is or time frame in which it was made. It is all stainless, with serrated edge blade. I...

Re: Merry Christmas

Hey guys,
I had a very Spydie Christmas this year.
My wife got me a Shaman, my son and his best friend got me a wooden Dragonfly, a large Spydiepac, a bronze Spyderco bead, and bug pin. My boy also gave me a Nitecore Tini.
Hope everyone here has a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Re: Help me make a Street Beat pocket sheath...

Ok guys so I've started "prototyping" a pocket sheath for my Street Beat for work carry. This will likely be a very lengthy write up with lots of words so consider yourself warned. If you have kydex working and/or leather working experience I would really appreciate your input on this ide...

Hey guys,
Great entries this year, and it had to be hard for the crew to select from all the awesome pics.
Can't wait to see the calendar when it comes out.
Thanks to Spyderco for running this awesome contest, and giving everyone a chance at fame and stardom.

Re: 2018 Forum Calendar Contest!

Hey guys, These are two of my favorites to carry. The Spydiechef makes for a great all around edc. The Mantra 2 packs a lot of punch for its size. Framelocks on both offer great security and ease of use. http://i.imgur.com/a6HVtxg.jpg Thanks for looking, and thanks to Spyderco for this awesome conte...

Re: G-10 Harpy, G-10 Hawkbills

Hey JD, I would definitely like to see a sprint of the g10 Harpy come to be. I carry my Ladybug se hawkbill in place of my Harpy because of the fear of loss or damage. It's that special to me. Your past posts about this knife was what made me start my search, and I got very lucky by finding a like n...

Re: Brainstorming Pocket CLIP alternatives

Hey guys, Here's a fob I've started using, a doubled celtic button knot. I burn the cord on the presentation side of the lanyard hole to make a stop. The fob doesn't loop over the backspacer, which I don't like, and it hangs out of the pocket more naturally, imho. Thanks for looking! Later, Don http...

Re: Brainstorming Pocket CLIP alternatives

Hey guys, Here's how I suspend small knives and flashlights. http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/ab148/sharpguitarist/IMG_20120830_170357.jpg I made the little clip out of recycled parts from work, but the o ring is what makes this setup user friendly. Allows me to grab the item and withdraw it from ...

Re: Past Collaborator, New Design? New Sprint Run?

Hey guys, I'm gonna have to mention Howard Viele. His first colaboration was actually my first purchased Spyderco, and what got me hooked on the brand. I have the se, and pe versions of the Viele 1, both iconic classics, imho. I would love to have a 2, and of course, the Pheonix is a grail. His hand...

Re: R.I.P. Ellie...

Without going into the details, we had to put our dog, Ellie, down today. She was a rescue my wife saved way back in 2006. She was a very skittish dog who lived in a pen the first 1.5 years of her life. My bride rescued her and gave a new life. She lived the rest of her days with our other dogs and...

Re: Assist, please: BladeTech Tek-Lok for Kydex sheath

Hey RL, I have several small tek-loks that I utilize for my fixed blade kydex sheaths. I am a big fan for their ease of use and adjustability. As far as kydex designed for use with folders, a custom kydex maker will probably be your best bet. There used to be a kydex company that made sheaths for Sp...
