Liking the photos posted a lot thank you but can someone post a closed Domino and a closed Sage so I can see the comparative size closed (and how much pocket space its going to take)?

Will do, P2. I'll throw in a Manix too, since some folks are comparing it to that one as well. TedP Thanks Ted. I really like the look of the Domino (and frame locks / RILs in general) but I have always thought that the Sage takes up a lot of space in the pocket - I'm not going through the agro of ...

Came across this rendition, Mr. Seizo Imai SI-1178 Custom Western Higonokami http://www.japaneseknifedirect.com/1178a.gif THAT is what Damascus needs to look like!!! That is a stunning knife - the el cheapo Higonokami that I got in Japan earlier in the year just climbed into the drawer on it's own,...

As soon as these are in the wild, can someone post a photo of a Domino next to a Sage 2? I'd like to get a feeling for the size, particularly closed.

I've recently relocated to Mauritius after spending most of my life inland. My house is right by the sea and as a result my H1 blades have come to the environment that they were made for. This Caspian had been on my openwater diving gear but now that my kayak is parked on the beach rather than in my...

Wilkins scales are VERY nice. But I can't see spending four times the cost of a normal Delica to get them. For close to that money you can get ALMOST any knife that Spyderco makes. I think I am fortunate to have reached the point that I know what I like in a knife and more importantly what I will u...

Arrived today. Delicas have a special sentimental place in my collection. An AUS8 1st generation SE in the mid 90s was my first single hand opener. Fit and finish is superb and at 100 grams on my dodgy scale it is heavier than the 71 grams that the standard Delica but it doesn't worry me. I actually...

My wish list : "S" with a solid blade and scales - any material other than aluminium Centofante 3 with polished G10 and no logo in the scale This isn't going to happen but to me the Dejavoo looks more like a Spyderco than a Benchmade and may have made it in the Spyderco line up Caly 3 with...

low thickness behind the cutting edge and tall leaf-shape blade profile... that what cuts best even if there's 3mm in the spine... ie a Large Lum Chinese ... those didn't do well and got disco'ed - good thing I got a spare one. Not sure it slices better than my 2mm Cento 3 but it kicks all my other...

I feel for you Jazz, I was travelling most of last week, flying with only carry on luggage .... I coped somehow. On Saturday (my first day at home) I was rotating knifes every two hours to catch up.

This was the only knife shop I saw (in the market in Kumasi, Ghana) :D

I swapped out the Caspian on my BC for an Atlantic Salt last weekend ... Atlantic Salt in a pouch is less cluttered than the Caspian was (at the expense of having a folder rather than a fixed blade). Caspian will now live on the deck of my kayak. 50 meters on air? It might be time to consider adding...

I really like my Cento 3 but I would really like to upgrade the scales. Screw construction would make that a lot easier.... Or there could just be a sprint run .....

Centofante 3
Large Lum Chinese
Goddard sprint (the white Micarta one)

This obviously excludes all my Delicas and Enduras as none of them are identical and none are still in boxes in the safe waiting for the "user" to get lost

@Psquared What is the difference between the delica and the caly3 for office use? My office environment is a typical IT office environment. I have no problem using my robin 2 but its a small knife. I guessed the delica would do fine as well as it has nice innocent colours and is quite sleek. Why wo...

So much to choose from .... Between the Caly 3, the Delica and the Native 5 my answer would still be "it depends". Out of the three, I use a Delica most but I wouldn't take one to the office. I don't know what your office environment is like. You may be comfortable with a Delica in yours, ...

a quick question PSquared: how does it handle with gloves? thank you I'm going to have to guess as I very seldom dive with gloves and when I do the fingers have been cut off. I suspect that if the gloves are loose, disengaging from the sheath could be a problem. Very thin neoprene gloves should wor...

It's a great knife but be warned, the spacing for the straps is narrow - too narrow to strap to your leg comfortably. I've fixed mine to my BC strap using zip ties - more practical position anyway.

I have been asking for a sprint of the S with a Solid Blade. That would make a very nice user. Especially if they could keep the weight down. I'm in agreement with this. I recently relocated and all my knives except 6 are in a container somewhere on the Indian Ocean. The knives I kept out to put in...

Good to see you got the SJ75 we spoke about on one of the other forums.

I'm waiting patiently for more tan / coyote brown scales in smooth G10. Current synthetic (ie excluding wood) brown and tan knives include RAT1, SJ75 and HEST. Sprint Goddard will be ordered as soon as they are available.
