Re: Knifejoy Exclusive Para Military 2
I already have a 20CV and don't usually get multiples of the same steel, but I'll get this one just for the handle color. I agree DLC/blacked out hardware would look even better, hope to see this on the Military, Manix 2 XL and Shaman with DLC.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?
With how well this is selling and how many versions of Cruwear PM2 there were I bet this will follow suit, I still have gotten one either, I too would prefer a blue denim or green micarta though.

DVOR offshoot of optics planet has a cart system where if you put something in your cart it's on hold for 10 or 15 minutes, I've seen where there's one item left and it will say "on hold for 07:32" and you can wait for the timer to time out and then add it to your cart, or the other person...

Re: What to do if someone tries to rob you with a knife?
It can go dozens of different ways- 1) you give him your wallet he says thanks and walks away 2) you give him your wallet he stabs you a couple times to give himself more time before the authorities are called. 3) you give your wallet he finishes you off then and there, so there will be no witness. ...

Re: Benchmade Bailout - your thoughts?
I'd rather see CPM-3V used on something like the Adamas Folder or the Contego and with a proper hardness (60-62). I've seen several swords made by the custom makers on BF at 60hrc.

I have a G-Shock Rangeman, it has Solar/Atomic and ABC, I've had it since they came out, it's been snorkeling, surfing, whitewater rafting, at work everyday smacked and hit on metal walls, metal protrusions, and just about everything else with no problems or scratches to the glass. The compass doesn...

Re: What would life be like if you were immortal?
One thing I always find interesting is Vampires/Wolverine/whatever long living superhero isn't nearly unbeatable to others their physical equal- If I was going to live a minimum of a couple hundred years, and know that I had an increased chance of combat, I would definitely spend my first 100 years ...

Re: A Spyderco OTF?
I'm all for a Spyderco OTF- the fact that Microtech, Pirahna, protech are mostly OTFs (plus Hogue and Benchmade have a few) and seem to be doing well shows there is a market for higher end OTFs. I have 3 Microtechs (1 OTF, 1 Side Opening Auto, and 1 Manual) the OTF/Auto buttons are extremely hard to...

Re: Serrated Axes, Swords, Machetes: How come we don't see this?
I think the easiest answer would be- sharpening, if its something that's used often (machete/tool or combat) and it's in a standard/common carbon steel then it's going to need to be sharpened often, serrations will make that take a lot longer and you wont be able to use a standard sharpening stone o...

I'd definitely take a PE to go with my H1 SE, bright green would be cool for the handle color- something easy to find if dropped in the water.

Re: Massdrop SG2 Delica shipped??!?
From my reading and experience with an F1 in 3G it's kind of in between ZDP and S30V for edge holding, haven't had any chipping problem, but the F1 is pretty thick.

Re: Paramilitary 2, a delicate knife?
I accidently dropped my CTS-20CP PM2 tip first into a steel sink from about 3 feet up once, put a nice divot in the sink and rounded about half a mm of the tip that sharpened out easily on the next sharpening and that's a lower toughness steel than the standard S30V variation not to mention the toug...

Re: S30V Only Cool if it's a Benchmade?
While, I own quite a few Benchmades, they're at least 5 years behind Spyderco in their steel upgrades/offerings, people (myself included) were excited a few years ago when they finally added S90V to the line, where as Spyderco was already 5-7 years into S90V and starting on S110V. ZT has some exotic...

Re: New Leatherman Tools for 2019
It's too bad they didn't upgrade the blade steel in the more knife oriented multi-tools at the end, that would have sold me on it, otherwise, there's not much of reason to pick it up over Victorinox, Boker, Ruike, etc.

Re: Paramilitary 2 (PM2) Blade Steel List
I am trying to get all the PM2 steels. I have a few doubles or triples of one steel. I have a some with Flytanium scales and one with CUSCDI scales. My users are S30V and 52100. My collection will be huge if I got every steel, in each color and blade edge and scale combo - I have no idea how big th...

Re: Paramilitary 2 (PM2) Blade Steel List
I'd keep an eye out on the Bladeforums sale section, many come up there often for decent prices, with the exception of the CPM154/S90V variation of which there were only a couple hundred made, it's the only one I'm missing from the list of steels (I don't have every handle variation of every steel t...
