Re: Tactical Pens Revisited
A pencil can be used for self defense. Tactical pencil! One can get titanium Chopsticks! Tactical Chopsticks!! My wife has metal chopsticks... Probably some kind of stainless steel. I bet they'd do some damage! Kinda like women's hat pins. ;) Ever seen a hat pin? :flushed I haven't, but I can imagi...

I'd dig it. I really dig my Magnitude, I think a Rubicon XL would be cool to have alongside it.

Re: Should I Strop?
I tried stropping at one point. It didn't do anything for me personally. Then again, I generally use a 220 grit diamond stone to quickly set my edge, then a spyderco medium stone to refine. Rinse and repeat. Works for me! Sometimes I bring out the spyderco fine stone, but that's usually for my carbo...

Re: Spyderco clip locations are actually very well thought out
Deep carry is overrated imo. I prefer having a bit of the knife hanging outside the pocket, makes it easier to get it out. With deep carry you grab the clip and add more pressure and make it more difficult to get the knife out. Not all knives mind you, but enough. Again, imo. Spyderco thinks it out ...

Re: Which other Spydercos give you tip access like the Manix?
The Shaman is pretty good too. And speaking about the manix being used like a pencil, I've held it like that when stripping cable before. Works well honestly! I was actually wondering if anyone else really did this...hold it literally like a writing instrument. I've done quite a lot of art in the p...

Re: Condolences for your missed deals
I was hyped at the sales, and figured I'd pick up an endela K390 since they were 112 vs 140. Decided to wait, had other things to buy and bills to pay. Got an email from smoky mountain knife works about sales and decided to look at their site. Endela K390 for $100. Yea, I got one. And a free Kershaw...

I NEED an endela in it too! :winking-tongue My K390 Endela is the knife that rides in my pocket everyday. My endura or Stretch find a place more times than no...

Sal seemed to have great respect and a friendship with Les. I enjoy both company's knives, and will continue to.
I also enjoy firearms, and cars, and many, many things. Flowers are nice too.

Re: Chief or Shaman for self defense?
I saw that video before, and it didn't have any context (just had the guy trying to get away). Saw the full version later and it shows he came up on the cougar with her cubs. She wasn't going after him for food, she was just protecting her young. Still... I love cats. Big cats. Small cats (we have 5...

Also don’t be afraid to use your brown stone on your S110V. It will cut it a bit better and leave a rougher finish that may pull cut better. I’ve already read that S110V likes a rougher edge better than a polished one (I reckon it was in a table about different steels from a rope cut test - but can...

Re: St. Nicks 4V Military 1
Would like one, but if there is no tip up carry I will pass. I've played with a millie before, and enjoyed it, save for that clip position. No, I don't need it to be tip up, but the clip annoys me when using the knife when it is in tip down position. Now if they do a police 4 I'd be down! Or a PM XL...

Endura, Endela, or Stretch if you want a smaller carry. Police 4 if you want a big blade. Simple as that!

The module looks great ! I was hoping you would try an aftermarket set and glad to see that straight trigger ! Dan I wanted to give the stock module a fair shake, but couldn't stop the itch to try the WC module. Haha! Definitely a big improvement in ergos, and shooting it should be an even better e...

I use. Even sprints and exclusives. Yes, some get more use than others, but I do use them all.
Most of the time I'm too busy using them to take pictures of them being used... Lol

Re: M390 vs S90V
I'd side with s90v, but m390 is great as well. But my s90v chief is one of my favorite knives to carry. Now if I had an s90v/cf shaman to go with it... Mmmm
