I tried stropping at one point. It didn't do anything for me personally. Then again, I generally use a 220 grit diamond stone to quickly set my edge, then a spyderco medium stone to refine. Deep carry is overrated imo. I prefer having a bit of the knife hanging outside the pocket, makes it easier to get it out. With deep carry you grab the clip and add more pressure and make it more difficult to get the knife out. Not all knives mind you, but enough. Again, imo. Spyderco thinks it out ...

I'd side with s90v, but m390 is great as well. But my s90v chief is one of my favorite knives to carry. Now if I had an s90v/cf shaman to go with it... Mmmm
