Thanks, I was really impressed when it got here. It has the factory edge on it and all, still sharp. Not quite factory/today sharp, but I bet a stropping would bring it back to new, not a ding or a roll at all. Real nice thing is that it has just enough break in on it that I will not be afraid to ca...

Grail - Large Wegner C48

Not a be all end all grail, but one I've been looking for. This one just came in today and for a 12-16 year old knife it is a fine specimen. I ran across one of these locally 8-10 years ago, not long after they were disco'd, passed on it and have wanted one since. I got this one from the 'bay and it...

I've got the same setup as Switchback's, flipped around and everything. Awesome results, quickly. I did work my way up to it though over the years, (Freehand sharpening w/ stones > sandpaper and mousepad > stropping > 1X30 beltsander > paperwheels) so it came pretty naturally.

Yes, in fact, I used My G-10 E4 yesterday at lunch to cut an Arby's sandwich in half. There were two ladies sitting in front of me, a table full of retired golfers next to me, and at least a half dozen Sheriff's Dept officers across the restaurant. I didn't give it a second thought and neither did a...

The white one sure looks to be a F150. My neighbor recently got that same color and model GMC pickup, and dang it is one sweet rig! Yeah, they did that for a year or two before the new body 3/4 came out. Check the hubs, 5 bolt vs 7. They sure have come a long way since they brought out the 5.3, my ...

Main reason I carry tip up, the pivot gets gunked up with dust and dirt much easier with tip down as it is exposed, instead of somewhat protected by the pocket tip up. Deployment doesn't make a difference to me.

I also realized, with many linerlocks, for me one hand closing is one motion. Push the lock over with the thumb, while applying pressure to fold the blade over with the forefinger. With the GB, you can't be pushing the blade up/closed while applying pressure in the lock to unlock. It takes two separ...

I have tried them out twice, once as a Passaround, and once as a purchase. I have the same conclusion both times, that it is just not for me. But, there is enough (deserved) hype about them, that all knife knuts should own one when it can be comfortably afforded, at least for a period of time. If no...

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. For some reason lately, my pet peeve has been folks, with Spring almost upon us, bragging about their "BBQ" and it turns out to be frozen burgers/chicken strips/flank steaks splashed with bottle sauce on a grill that got cooked in less than 10 minutes.........

Yup, after a .22 of some sort, it should be a staple of any gun accumulation.

In fact, when new gun folk (especially on a budget) ask what they should get first, as they are oogling and Glocks and 357's, I firmly suggest the 870 for home protection and enjoyment.
