Its fine for me, its such a fantastic little knife that I don't mind the trade off.
Still pretty fidgety, one of spydercos best.

I don't think we've heard of any plans to change the color. Just curious: Why are you opposed to RIT dye? On the salt knives you don't even have to remove the scales to dye them. Ive been using my fully serrated tenacious of late which does a pretty good job for a folder.
