Blerv: No, NY has no maximum length limit outside of NYC. I can walk down the street with a machete and it's perfectly legit. The umbrella sounds nice, but I'm not allowed "Any telescoping baton" and that falls under it. But yeah, the rock would probably be pretty good as an all purpose fi...

As far as I'm aware, it's perfectly legal to carry a fixed blade in the waistband. I have a CCW, I'm just waiting for my revolver to come in at the moment. Beyond that, NYS is more jumpy about OPEN carry then they are concealed, via some INSANE leap in logic on the part of the lawmakers. I live in U...

In that case I may be tempted to go with the Rock instead.... Dunno if that would be any BETTER, but it's single edge and I could definitely justify it as a tool easier. That DOES suck though, I thought the warrior might make a REALLY nice knife for processing fish too! Gotta get out of this hell-ho...

Warrior legalality question

Okay, so I've been considering getting a spyderco warrior, mostly to wear inside my waistband as an all purpose fixed blade/defensive knife. This would be par for the course..... save for the fact I'm not sure that's LEGAL here. I live in NY (Not NYC, I hate that place), and we have laws that prohib...

I've had the Blue Nishijin stretch on preorder from Knifecenter for over a year now, nice to see it trickling into other dealers. The double bevel has some interest from me, but looking at it's pictures, it looks almost like it has an edge on the back of the flat ground blade. I'm guessing it's just...

Why are spyderedges ground on the left side?

I got to thinking and I thought of this: Why are spyder edges designed with he serration on the left side? It seems like it would be more practical to have it on the right side, if only due to the number of right handed people vs lefties. Does anybody know why this is or if there's a specific reason...

Given the choice between the Enuff and pretty much anything else, I'm gonna take the Enuff. It's VG-10/H-1, comes in any shape you like, and it's light. Perfect backpacking knife, IMO.

^ Now see, I'm a damascus addict, but I only buy stainless due to my sweat apparently being sulfuric acid. I'm getting the one with the blue handles, provided there are enough to fill the preorders up to mine.

ETA on the Damascus Stretch sprint?

If it's not too much trouble, does anybody here know the ETA on the Stretch sprint with nishijin and damascus? I preordred one a WHILE back and I was curious when I might start seeing pictures or when the knife might start dropping.

many thanks, Raylas.

My dream Spydie is already being made, I'm just waiting on it now. It's a VG-10 damascus stretch with blue nishijin handles. I don't know the ETA on it, but I know it's supposed to be out sometime soon....

If they make it in S30V/VG-10, I'm in ALL THE WAY. I've always liked the blade shape of the Higonokami, kinda like a clip point and a sheepsfoot had a baby.
