I'd love to see a GB in full SE and M390! I'd buy one as it stands, but anything that's not stainless tends to put me off.

Yowzer: I'm pretty sure you could swap them out with the right tools, I know a guy that did that by putting a saber delica blade into a steel handle.

I'm kinda heartbroken to see this. I really wanted a Starmate since I saw the proto last year. I hope the F&F issues get sorted out, if they made the G10 smoother, fixed the lanyard tube, and resolved the rough spot on the ricasso, it would be beautiful..... But as it stands now, I just can't pa...

Blue G10, fully serrated, CPM-S30V. I'd love that!

^Bingo, Yahtzee! give this man a prize!

Frankly, I love the knife, and if getting the carraca repaired means I'm not getting it back, I'll live with the silence.

EDIT: And New York State doesn't have strict laws. NYC does. I live Upstate, far away as you can get from that place.

I live in New York state, they won't ship here. Ergo, if I send a knife to them, I'm probably not getting it back, regardless of warranty. I'm too frightened to send them anything! That's why I held off until I thought the navaja issue was solved, but either I got "New Old" stock, or I ope...

Don't think so, but I can't really check because if I take it apart it voids the already useless warranty and then even if I DO manage to get it back, it will go unfixed.

I've had a really bad year for my knives, I just wish this one would work, I love it.

Navaja update

Well bad news, my navaja has gone silent. It's beautiful, was perfect our of the box, and it no longer ratchets..... *sigh* I really hate my life sometimes, because as far as I know, I can't even send it to have it repaired. I live in Upstate New York, and we all know how that goes....

Angus: Mine's perfect 20 on both sides, far as I can tell. If there's any difference, the gear I used couldn't find it. It also worked on the sharpmaker perfectly, so I'm inclined to think it's 40 degree inclusive. Also, I may be wrong, but I think the carraca on mine got LOUDER of all things. It fe...

There's the Karahawk, which is a Karambit. Dunno if that counts, but that's the only one I know of.

JudasD: Oh it really is. Navaja is a masterpiece, and it slices apples like a category 5 hurricane made of Enduras. XD

Edit: I just changed the pocket clip to tip down, feels even better in my hands now.

ChuckD: Well you'll love this one then. It's an amazing design, and I hope Spyderco keeps making them. The ergos on it are amazing. I've heard mixed things about them in other reviews, but for me it feels very natural and comfortable. And of course, being a Spyderco from Taichung, the F&F are pe...

Gunslinger: Ah, thanks.

ChuckD: I was under the impression that the carraca breaking was pretty rare. I'll update if mine goes bad.

BD583: I had considered the Gayle Bradely, but M4 would not last round here. I basically live in something bordering a wetland, and it eats tool steels :( .

Carraca! (with pics!)

I just got my new Navaja, and I thought I should share some pics of my new favorite Spydie with y'all! I apologize for the horrible photos, it's late and I'm too lazy to set up any real lighting. EDIT: Seems the forum image thing doesn't like me, I'm setting up links. http://s810.photobucket.com/use...

H1 dragonfly, thing is a monster, like a pocket chainsaw.

Centofante Memory: Looks like it's a "for show" knife. It's not. That thing can slice through anything, and takes a razor edge with almost no effort.

Just bought a Navaja from the guy. He's wonderfully nice, agreed to ship me anything as long as it was legal. and we had a nice talk of CPM-S30V vs. CTS-XHP. The guy is good for anything, and I've never dealt with a nicer guy. He was also more than happy to ship to NY, which is a remarkable and rare...
