Re: Spyderco Models We Need In FULL SE

The Ark was initially released in both plain edge and serrated edge. The serrated model was discontinued in 2021 though. (Maybe due to slow sales)

Siren
In its natural habitat... Nice! The Siren has really grown on me over the last 6 months.
Same! I’ve been carrying more Salt Series knives for work and the Siren has been one of the most frequent.

Re: Tax day MAP sale!

Not sure I get it yet, but I'm curious. The MAP is the price that everyone else charges? And everyone else provides free shipping? Will there be knives for sale that aren't available elsewhere? Yes? No? Unknown? MAP = Minimum Advertised Price policy In this case, Spyderco has currently set their Mi...

Re: Solar Eclipse!

Great shots, Rick! I got a handful of photos of the partial eclipse here in Mass. The maximum coverage I saw was about as much as your second photo. If I wasn’t working today, I was planning to drive up to Maine to get into the path of totality. Luckily I wasn’t busy and could still check it out, at...

Re: Boating and lanyards

One wine bottle cork is not nearly enough to float a 3 Oz knife. Maybe about half a dozen corks would do it but then you have half a dozen wine bottle corks dangling off your knife. Four might be enough and if you don’t mind having a four cork sized lanyard tied on, that could be your solution. I ca...

Re: Boating and lanyards

I use retractable lanyards on some of my gear while fishing. For example forceps on a retractable lanyard attached to my waders or a T2 Toothpick with a retractable lanyard on my ice fishing bibs. A knife on a retractable lanyard might come in handy if you have a good place to clip it on to. I might...

Re: Boating and lanyards

I’ve tried to find a reasonably sized float with enough buoyancy to support the weight of a Salt but everything I found was either too big, to the point where it was more obtrusive than convenient, or just not buoyant enough to float the knife in general. I just trust the pocket clip and accept the ...

The Delica 4.

Although the Paramilitary 2 might also meet the OPs criteria.

If this ever actually happened the price out in the collectors’ market would be through the roof.
I agree! I would love to find a blemish of this magnitude for the collection.

Re: Knife that screams liner lock got the compression lock - why?

It’s important to discern opinions from objective truths when watching those “expert” knife review videos. If any of the so called “experts” are explicitly stating “liner locks are bad because it puts your finger in the path of the blade” that would be a good example of both in one statement and how...

Just got this brand new Shaman and it’s missing the Spydiehole! :thinking

Do they all come like this now or should I just return this for a new one?

Re: Which steel for my next knife? (Lil' Native)

The Lil Native is a great choice! Those are three fantastic options to choose from as well. It’s a tough call. My favorite of that bunch is the Knifejoy 20CV version but I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them even if you’re leaning more towards one of the other two. If you’re looking to b...

Ding ding ding! I don’t want to call it selfishness, because I know wh...
