Re: Can we talk about Amazon?

Amazon is fine. I would suggest anyone nervous to try finding a direct report of someone getting a fake. These threads never actually have anyone who has gotten one. Instead it's people who don't like Amazon and people ultimately trying to be helpful but just repeating stories they read online, whi...

Re: Ganzo copy/counterfeit

Ganzo = Garbage. Not to mention generic and cheap looking. They steal Spydercos designs and were very rude and arrogant to Sal and the Spydie crew at one of the blade shows. You'd think Blade would ban them for that kind of bullshit. I know Right? I got tired of blade show due to the negative toxic...

Re: Can we talk about Amazon?

I have never had a fake anything on Amazon. But I also research the vendors on Amazon. And you can't beat their return policy. The return policy! Thats the flaw! It works if you get a fake. No worries, return it. Money back every time and most of the time the return is free shipping. Now to where t...

Re: Knives you wanted to dislike but ended up loving

Cold Steel makes some nice stuff. All of my machetes and 1/3 of my fixed blades are Cold Steel. The Kopis machete, Cutlass Saber machete, SRK, SRKC and Recon Tanto are all really nice, and none are over $50. The large Voyager is one of the best budget folders on the market too, but I like the spydi...

Re: Knives you wanted to dislike but ended up loving

For me I would have to pick my Cold Steel Pro Lite clip point. I never had a Spydie I disliked. I bought it and being 4116 Krupp steel. Along with plastic washers, cheap handle. I tried my best to hate it. Well 2 months has went by and I ended up loving this knife. Reasons being: Easy to sharpen unl...

Re: Liner lock. Should I try one?

I'm of the mind that if you are not commissioning knives to be made that you should not wait around for some specific attribute to be added. Buy what is available and enjoy it. I have a Spyderco Military, Emersons and Bokers that are liner locks. They are fine. See what it is that you like or disli...

Re: Liner lock. Should I try one?

In my experience most futuristic knives have worse ergonomics and blade grinds for utility work than more boring, traditional designs like an Endura. I never buy liner locks for friends and family, save for one Efficient I gifted to someone. I don't see the Endura as boring. I own about 40 or 50 kn...

Re: Dumb Guys Buy More Knives

I waste more than I can afford on knives :respect . On music memorabilia :skull-crossbones , on clothing :cheap-sunglasses, Etc...etc. I am dumber than $hit for doing that. Pure truth. And I make no excuses for my actions.

I honestly don't know. The only thing I can say is either people will like it or people will not like it.

Re: Liner lock. Should I try one?

I think everyone should experience liner locks so I won't say you shouldn't buy one. However, you have had common experiences with them already. Even in lock tests they fail easily. They are okay, sort of, for a pocket knife, but not a large harder use knife. My wife will note carry one, not even a...

Re: Spyderco Ikuchi info needed.

Well as someone who picked up an Ikuchi in the last month or so and really like it, I feel like I should weigh in. 1.) Compression lock is totally reliable for everyday use 2.) Compression lock on the Ikuchi is the most difficult compression lock to disengage because the cutout is smaller than any ...

1. Yes
2. Idk
3. No
Simple and straight to the point. I like that. Question 3 worries me more than the other 2 considering I like keeping my fingers safe.

Re: Spyderco Ikuchi info needed.

1. The Comp Lock is very reliable for EDC. It's on many of Spyderco's most popular EDC folders (Para 2, Para 3, etc). It's not my favorite lock (it's not ambidextrous and it has no close bias) but it's a solid, reliable lock for sure. 2. Are you asking about the comp lock generally or the Ikuchi lo...

Spyderco Ikuchi info needed.

I was browsing today on buying a knife. And I really like the looks of the spyderco Ikuchi. Love the crisp clean futuristic styling. I was just curious about three things concerning the Ikuchi. And figured it would be better to ask among actual spyderco users who own the Ikuchiother than random revi...

Liner lock. Should I try one?

I have been seeing a lot of knives from Brous, Bestech, WE, Civivi, CJRB, and other companies that are using liner locks exclusively. And I love the designs of some of the futuristic knives made by these manufacturers. However. I have a bad aversion to liner locks that started in the 90's when I had...
