Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
Yeah...I really do like the two Military knives A LOT. Do you think $300 is a bit much to spend on a Military knife with carbon fiber scales that has M390 steel? It's BNIB. I think only 500 were made. I have always been a MT collector, had a Police Spiderco a long time ago...but lost it in my luggag...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
Wait...I came across some MIlitary used blades in different steel. What would be a better Military model other than one with 30S?? I see them used of $400 or so...that's a bit more than what I had planned on spending though. And planned runs for a Military with a newer steel? Or does anyone have a l...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
...have you considered a Military? This. Yeah...I have a Military. 2 to be exact. I thought they were PM2s...I now know better. I posted a picture of it on the first page. I wish I could find a Military in with a better steel...not that I'm complaining about the S30, I like it a lot...just somethin...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
I like the Military the best to be honest, I have a black plain edge and a satin serrated one, both S30 I (I think that's all they made them in?). I really wish I could find a Military knife but with a better steel than S30. I'm going to grab a PM2 and see how it works out for me, but looking at the...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
Saw some comparison videos....the MP2 is a bit small for my liking really. Darn...I might just get another Military. Wish I could put the clip on the Military on a different location. The Military only comes in S30? Do they offer other clips for the Military...one that is more concealable and doesn'...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
Welcome to the forum. Nice 1911. I opted for the black Matriarch 2 with Emerson opener over the Civilian. The concept is very similar and the size difference isn't much, but the Emerson Matriarch 2 is essentially self-opening when there is a need for speed. It also looks amazing and has a nice grip...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
OK...will do. One last question...sorry if it sounds silly, But was looking around and see third party companies selling back spacers for the PM2. Does it really need one? What advantages does an aftermarket back spacer give the the PM2? Sorry for all the questions, I learned a great deal today. Tha...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
Welcome! Get the PM2 in S110V steel. Great knife for the price (around $140). gren Where would one be able to find that knife for around $140? THANKS! Now that I know I can put black G10 grips / scales on it, I guess color doesn't really matter. Same for the green CTS-204P...I guess I could find so...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
And does the PM2 have a THICKER blade than a Military....allowing for a wider wound channel? For and every day use, I can see them being about equal...but what about from a self defense perspective? I decided to pick up a Civilian, but as my second knife...I need something that can stab if need be, ...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
Nice HK! I have 2 myself, a bit more complex to field strip...but excellent made pieces. The Yojimbo is nice, but would rather have a blade with a curve. This is my current EDC Spiderco...I'm almost certain it's a Military or "Millie"....I like the looks of the new handle on the PM2, just ...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
Ugh....not a fan of the blue. Black should be on every model across the board, including "Sprint Runs" IMHO.

Thanks! Is blue the only color??Spydergirl88 wrote:Welcome! Get the PM2 in S110V steel. Great knife for the price (around $140). I have the PM2 in Elmax steel and I love it but it's more expensive at $199. Can't go wrong with any PM2!

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
I'd get the S110V, great steel that gets way sharp and holds an edge for a good long time, have you considered a Military? Oh and welcome to the forum. Is the S110V only available in BLUE?? And yes...I measured my knife and I have the black Military version...not the PM2. Thanks for the warm welcom...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
The cutting edge on mine looks to be about 3.75"...and says MILITARY on the blade. No Spider logo. There are no holes to change the location of the clip...so now I'm thinking I have the Military version and not the PM2? I really like the grip handle on the PM2, looks like I can grip it better i...

Re: Time for a new EDC Spyderco
I have a Military....I think it's a Military....it's says so on the blade. Looks like a PM2. Do you think the PM2 is a better choice, or the Military Clip Point C36GPE"??? Mine is like I said, all black and S30 steel.

Time for a new EDC Spyderco
Hi Fellas, This is my first post here. I have always been a Microtech fan and I have always carried two knives on me. Once as a user blade for every day purposes, and one for self defense. I have a rather large collection of Microtech knives, but I no longer wish to carry them. Some of the knives I ...
