Re: Purpose of a Business?
Once you climb a few steps up Maslow's hierarchy of needs it seems the possibilities of a business endless. I really like the directions you've been carrying your business the last few years. Designing, creating, supplying a need, creating a demand, traveling the world, scuba diving, helping others....

Re: impala
I have enough Impalas actually. I'm just trying to get back into the game. It is quite disorienting after being away for a few years. It is weird, seems like so little changes from catalog to catalog but you step away for a few years and nothing makes sense! This was presented definitely as a red bo...

Re: To Honor?
For the love of God, no Boye Dent on the Deacon model! Since anything is possible in world of ideas, the handles should be modular, with at least 3 different handles materials that can be easily switched out. One would a steel for acid etching, or engraving; one would be a bone; and one would be a p...

Has there been a Sprint of the Impala? I ask because I see one on eBay but it has a modern red box. The original was the grey box if my memory serves so is real or shenanigans?

Re: Catalog opinions
The Police 4, really interested to learn what was changed. I carried an original in stainless for years. Should have lost it many times because that stainless never sticks to pockets. G-10, no swedge, no boye dent, Full flat grind. A long slim friend to your pocket that will stay there and stick in...

Re: Anybody interested in the Baby Jess Horn?
Astute as always, Deacon. Polished is the way to go for this fine gent's knife. Still will nice to add to the pile. I think I have a frn sprint from years ago.The Deacon wrote:I'm interested, although I must admit I'd be far more excited about it if Spyderco had gone with polished G-10 rather than peel-ply.

Re: Catalog opinions
Lil Nilakka. I have a lot more reasons why this is exciting than some could find in a white rectangle. :p It sits within three different categories of knives. It is a gent's blade, which isn't gender specific, just is a small blade one could carry in dress clothes and not feel out of place. It fits ...

Re: David Boyle dents on lockbacks
It's relatively easy for someone who wants a Boye dent to add it, or have someone add it. OTOH, if a knife has a Boye dent, the only way to remove the **** thing is to replace the entire lockbar. Do agree that Spyderco's use of it defies logic. They say it's for safety on hard use, tactical, and SD...

Re: Catalog opinions
All in all, a gorgeous catalog. Catalogs are almost a lost art form these days. Looks like a lot of work went into it. I truly enjoy the mountains of info in the back. It seems like if you are constantly playing with the new steels it pays to edgeucate you customers. (Hey I haven't seen a new one in...

Re: Catalog opinions
First page of spring runs looks like a lot of fun. Great to see the Meerkat is back. I have an original sitting on my dresser. The trick lock is like a never ending party trick. Rarely do people work it out. Never thought orange would look good, but it does. If you never held a Jess Horn, it is a gr...

Re: Catalog opinions
Glad the Techno is still available. It takes photos real well with high end pocket gear that the city gentlemen likes carry about...well at least from what I''ve seen on lots of photos on the Book of Face. I might have to get one but will have to unload some old models first.

Wow, I can't help but think this model has been doing some major long distance running. It has lost all the fat and is slim and sleek. Quite a bit different than old model 1 which was clearly a weight lifter. :p

Re: free servers
Well, I seem to remember having an account with photobucket so I tried to use them first off. Three popups before I could even login, and I have most popups blocked on my computer so that was weird and not worth the effort. Tried Imgur and was up and running within 5 minutes. The fact that it is a l...

Just found this little guy in a drawer and thought I'd ask. Thanks. No set schedule then. Cool, maybe I''ll catch the next one.

Forum knives?
So does Spyderco still do Forum Knives? I tried to do the courteous thing and search the terms but believe it or not, forum and knife overload the system. :o
