Pretty much the same results I received just for simply asking if anyone had tested their MT26 for hardness, just for the info, a while back.
Lots of other good folks expressed their interest as well. Then the attack came ......
Oh well. One sour grape doesn't spoil the bunch.

My thoughts as well. Not only his English but his apparent grasp of US state weather. He just seems to know too much to be where he claims to be located.

Re: Official Sliverax Discussion Thread
I keep a lanyard slipped onto the wire clip on my Chaparral and find it a handy attachment. It stays out of the way pretty well and I can easily slip it off the clip if it does get in the way when using the knife, although I find I rarely need to do that. I did find the lanyard has to be kept light ...

Re: How about a Manix2 in M390 and moonglow side scales?
Speaking of moon glow, I have been getting a lot of fruit bats at my hummingbird feeders during the night lately taking all the sugar water. I can see them in the moonlight. They will fly against the feeders and cause the sugar water to drip from the feeding stations and will keep at it again and a...

Re: Regarding new releases..
I like the idea, but I would expect there are a lot of logistical unknowns for actually having a model on hand for release, especially from some of the more distant suppliers. Some of the new release and Sprint Run models seem to have many different timelines from announcement to availability. I don...

Re: North Korean Military Threat: How realistic?
There seems to be a great deal of "saber rattling" going on both sides. N.K. has a relatively young "leader", (perhaps not quite the correct term ....), who lacks the wisdom of maturity and may feel he has to prove himself to his people and country. Not having served militarily i...

Re: Maxamet here to stay ?
Maxamet has quickly become my all time favorite blade steel. It develops a slight patina with use but the stone wash blade finish, (on my Manix 2 LW), helps to prevent corrosion, I believe. I love the way it gets insanely sharp and just keeps cutting. It is a fun steel to sharpen and use. I would lo...

Re: Torx again
I have the T15 (pivot) and T6 (scales) for the Militaries I used to have.
A T8 for my Chaparral (pivot and clip) and Manix 2 LW (pivot and clip).
Also a T10 for the G-Clip on the Boltaron sheath for my Mules. A T8 also fits the Halpern G-10 handle scales for my Mules.
I hope this helps.

Re: What's Everyone's Latest Spyderco Purchase?
My latest is a Manix 2 LW with Maxamet blade. I love the Manix 2 platform but bought it mainly for the Maxamet blade which is proving to be a favorite for sharpening and edge holding. It just keeps on cutting! If the Manix 2 is ever offered with a K390 or a PMA11 blade steel that would easily be my ...

Re: EU Vacuum Cleaner Ban: Smart, Ridiculous, or what?
Geez Louise, banning stuff seems to be the latest trend worldwide! I suppose I shouldn't mention door locks or they will be the next on the list. Locks on doors can provide suppression against the minorities who might otherwise rob the occupants of the residence, and it is politically incorrect to s...

Re: I've had enough...
I guess I kind of "self moderate" by buying only the knives that really speak to me and then only in the high end non-stainless tool steels with blade not over .125" in thickness. Those are just my own personal preferences but they do tend to eliminate a lot of knives I might otherwis...

Re: Manix 2 Sprint Run
Well did some homework and I think I would like a Manix 2 in K390. I don't see much offered with that steel and Manix 2 is my favorite platform. +1 here. I would love to see the Manix 2 with a K390 blade. That could easily become my all time favorite :spyder: . What sort of handle would you like wi...
