Re: My 1st CRK

Can't go wrong with a Sebenza 21 or 31. Classic functional design with a super functional, effective blade shape and impeccable construction.

Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?

The humble Endura!
Especially the K390 variant.
Just finished breaking down a mountain of cardboard (approximately 500ft of cutting) and would still cleanly slice printer paper.
Such an effective cutting tool!

Had to grab one in spite of not loving the PM2. I DO love s90v!
If only an Endura in s90v ;)

Re: What is your profession?

Currently my role is Company Officer of A-shift on the Airport Crash Rescue (SFFD)for Santa Fe Municipal Airport (KSAF). I hit my 20 years with SFFD in two weeks and am looking to retire from Fire Service and do something less taxing. Currently recovering from a rotator cuff injury suffered at a fir...

Re: My 1st CRK

My Inkosi can drop shut with a slight shake, no blade play either. Definitely not "drop shutty" though, but closes nicely. Totally! My Inkosi does the same when adjusted "just right". Not really something I'm after as a slight bit of fluorine friction (;) is a bit safer IMO. Just my observation aft...

Re: My 1st CRK

CRK's are a bargain given the level of material quality and precision in fit & finish they have. Is funny how at 1st, looking at a Sebbie 21 for example, one thinks "nice but boring". Over time and after using one to do real work with you come to appreciate just how good they are. When I can't figur...

Re: My 1st CRK

No, IME, only the CRK's with bushing pivot (like a manix) will drop closed when lock bar pressure is removed. If you adjust a 'Zaan or Inkosi loose enough to do this there will be play in the pivot. I think this is also partly due to larger pivot and washers these two share. The Sebenza 21 has the p...

Re: My 1st CRK

That is an awesome blade profile, that's for sure! More so for Julia...since she already has a couple, how do you find deploying the blade compared to the Sebenza and Inkosi? I've always thought the placement of the thumb studs on the 'Zaan to be in kind of a strange spot, and so close to the scale...

Re: Are Military's done?

My RIL CF/Ti is only 15 grams (0.034 oz) heavier than my G10 REX 45. For me, lot less noticeable on a 4.5 oz knife, compared to something sub 3 oz. Please Bring us more Military goodness! Starting with a Crucarta! Yes, I'm in for a new Military. 15g is 1/2 an oz (.529) not .034oz but you're right, ...

Re: Knife & Watch

Damasko DH3.0 Foliage Green G10 Endura Very nice - Damasko + Endura is frequently with me as well, though I prefer the blues on the DA38 + K390 myself. https://i.imgur.com/YZ0SfoW.jpg Nice! I like the K390 as well but it doesn't match my DH3 exactly like the Foliage green VG10 one does ;)
