If you've got the Torx bits. Save yourself the time and take off the non clip side scales. 3 screws, a nice cleaning, a little lube and your good to go! Under 10 minutes time.
Absolutely. Planning on doing that in a few minutes actually. The fidgeting is just an addiction :D

Re: St Nicks Knives Exclusive 4V Shaman - Available 9/19/19

I just got home and WOW...this thing is an absolute beast, a tank!! Always thought the Manix was fairly heavy duty, this thing is on a whole different planet! I honestly feel like I could use it as a hatchet haha. My first knife with contoured handles, feels amazing! Though the G10 isn't as grippy ...

Re: SHAMAN FIXED BLADE

I think the Shaman would be a great candidate for "fixed-blade-ification." I'd probably delete the front finger choil, and just move the index finger groove forward. The way I imagine it the overall profile would look similar to a Creely Mako, but with a longer blade. e4805f521624c20f44d08...

According to their Instagram account, they sold 15 in their B&M stores and had 374 to sell online. They said the number they actually received was far fewer than expected but that they just had to roll with it. They were originally expecting 450. Good news is they said they're next exclusive wi...

Mine says 7:01:09. I entered my payment info manually, I hate saving that stuff to a browser or anywhere else. I was doing practice runs last night. Put a Native in my cart and ran through the checkout process a few times (just shy of actually completing the purchase :D ). Haha like a pit crew prac...

YES! I knew they had to make a 4V Shaman. It's probably the best platform for the steel. Definitely picking one up.

Re: Upcoming Shaman Exclusives??

IIRC, the Cruwear micarta shaman sprint was supposed to drop in August or September, right? There is some rumbling about a St. Nick’s shaman exclusive, but that’s just an unconfirmed inference from St. Nicks Instagram posts. Agreed on the dlc M4 bhq exclusive, I assume it’s only a matter of time. P...

Re: Just ordered some Nano Oil *cough snake oil cough*

I use ballistol exclusively on all my knives and guns. It seems to be more slick than mineral oil, or other common firearm lubricants. It's cheap and it works.

Re: Arghh...Manix 2 Side-To-Side Blade Play When Open

Adjusting the pivot screw will absolutely make a difference. Ideally I would remove both pivot screws, add loctite, carefully tune it from both sides, so that it's smooth, and centered, with no play. You should be able to get very close to a dropshut action with no play in either direction, even in ...

I'll be thrilled to get this, no matter what the blade shape so long as it's comfortably under 20 thousandths BTE (15 thou? Pretty please?), and not a recurve.

Kapara! The food-prep oriented design of the Kapara makes LC200N a natural choice.

Re: Improvement suggestions for your favorite Spyderco knives?

I would love to see a PM2 with a shorter choil, akin to the one the Military. A PM2 with ~0.25" more cutting edge, would be my grail all-round EDC knife.

Re: a painful lesson relearned

100% agree. In the last few months USPS has lost over $1000 with of my packages and mail. They almost lost a Rex45 Military a last month. It was one of the last in-stock at national knives, and had they actually lost it, no replacement would have been available. I am never making that mistake again....

Re: Updated shaman sprint steel poll

Still think I'd have a slight preference for a DLC 4V/Red G10 St Nick's version. But this tan/brown micarta is mighty fine looking. It isn't brown G10, it is canvas micarta. Yep, typo. I was actually coming back to edit my post realizing I might have made that mistake, but someone beat me to it :o

Re: Maxamet Paramilitary 2...return of the king!

Just got mine from BHQ. It's got a beautiful, slick, shiny finish. It seems almost like a polished stonewash. Definitely the best action I've experienced in an out of the box PM2 - drops shut and no blade play in any direction. Centering is spot on as well.
