i have but one kopa (cocobolo) and it is one of my favorite spydie designs. highly highly recommended for a small but extremely well-built, durable, elegant matter separator.

i'm repeating others, but based on those i've handled, i'd go with the Military, the Manix, or the D'Allara DP, in that order.

I love the "big Temp" too. I have the SE which I keep in the kitchen -- there is NOTHING those serrations won't cut through! Glad you found a practical use for the paracord. That's the "real deal" 550 cord with the 7-strand inner core -- strong stuff. Nice collection you've got g...

The Criterion Collection recently released a new, restored high-definition digital transfer supervised and approved by director Monte Hellman. It's a 2-DVD set with a new Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack and tons of extras. I'm developing a serious addiction to Criterion movies -- the best films ever, i...

When you say "lock stop screw", do you mean one of the smaller torx screws on the clip side? If so, I tried to tighten them, but they will strip if I tighten them any more. The amount of play is very, very small and not a big deal in any way. It is still a great knife and I don't feel the...

You're welcome Spyderwings! Glad it arrived in Canada safely. I'm surprised about the vertical play -- I didn't notice that while I was packing it up. I think with some fine tuning of the pivot and lock stop screw you should be able to fix it.

Thanks to everyone who played along!

David, I didn't even notice Lucy's right eye. I didn't bring up the gunk because of your picture! That would be plain rude. But I know, some cats have a real problem with their tear ducts (or whatever they are called). She does have very penetrating eyes, I must say.

David, Lucy has beautiful eyes for a cat! They all do, actually, but Lucy's captivate me. PS - it bugs me when people don't clean the gunk around a cat's eyes. Its such a simple habit to get into, and it helps your cat look and feel better. (I'm not picking on anyone here -- in fact, all of these ca...
