I prefer screwed over pinned. I have never had to re-tighten a Spyderco from the factory.

Thanks Cameron, I am going to try that. It's not that it's that hard its just my fingers were getting a little tender, I wondered if there was a bur there because it requires a fair bit of force to get the ball rolling is it were. No it normal, I fool around with my EDC knives constantly and found ...

I really like the lock on the Manix2 and I found I was practicing with it so much I was wondering why my fingers hurt. I added just a tiny drop of gun oil/grease to the part where the ball bearing sits and things became very smooth, but still retained the positive lock up and effort required to unlo...

The Standard by which others are judged.

I recently dropped a knife off at the Spyderco HQ as I had damaged the tip on my Manix2. I arrived a little early and the staff graciously opened the factory shop before the normal hours rather than leave me waiting. The staff were just great, professional courteous and patient as I dropped off the ...

Personally I don't understand the "collecting" of knives, I have a few, but buy them to use them. I throw the boxes away and throw them in my bedside drawer and take the one out I think I will need for the day. That said I do find myself wanting more and more choices to use... I'm trying t...

Do you have a link? The only one I could find that is close was the Manix2 XL here, in which case all the Manix2 XLs I have seen have been FFG.

I would really like the Manix2 FFG with DLC too, in addition to the Manix2 XL I linked above.

I'm going to pick up a Manix2 and Manix2 XL in S30V with plain edges, and black blades as soon as I can find them both.

What's that thingy on the trigger guard that looks attached to the mag catch? It is actually attached to the bolt release, and is a "Battery Assist Device". It allows you to release the bolt with your trigger finger when reloading, thereby speeding up the reload. Pic thread... Stoked abou...

What about a "two piece" knife. One piece is a simply blade and handle, the second piece (kept separate in the carry on) is a sleeve that acts as a better handle and also locks the blade.
