Re: Cutlery Shoppe Para 3 exclusives
I was more worried that somehow my order got screwed up and I would miss out. I hate seeing the knife I want that was released a only few months ago or even days ago going for 50%-100% more on ebay solely because people purchased them just for that point. On the brighter side though, the excitement ...

Re: C15 yes
Not to digress but I've become a Spyderco Steel Junky recently. I'm at the point where I'd buy any Millie or Para sprint that has a different steel than the ones I have. Unfortunately by the time I got into Spidies I missed all of the previous sprints and find myself cursing at ebay "re salers&...

Re: Cutlery Shoppe Para 3 exclusives
I ordered my para 3 within minutes of the link going live and I’m still awaiting fulfillment. My last order with CS was completed super quickly. Between this knife and waiting for Spyderco to list the Millie Rex 45 on their website for an OpSFocus purchase.... It’s killing me.

Re: Is your interest in sharpening on the same level as your interest in knives?
I learned free hand on a bench stone many years back while in the service but was never really happy with my work. I've had a Lanky for a long time now and can get my edges reasonably sharp but nothing close to some of the "hair popping" edges described here. I choose three but would enjoy...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Slayed a cardboard army, shaved down an offending high spot in my drywall mud that was interfering with my wall tiles, and cleaned tile mastic from the gaps between my freshly laid tiles. I never thought I'd use such a nice knife for these kinds of chores and yet it feels so satisfying to actually u...

Re: Cutlery Shoppe Para 3 exclusives
I think it was on their Facebook post somewhere that they were supposed to be stone washed but they ended up satin. No explanation. A little bummed myself but I’ll still be glad to get one.

Re: Is the Military too big or big enough?
cbrstar I feel your addiction! To all I’ve been spending a little more time with my PM2 . It was never about the size of the knife really but more about the size of the handle. After spending some time switching between the PM3 and PM2 I found what was throwing me off. With the 3 I find I choke up o...

Re: Is the Military too big or big enough?
Sounds like you may like it after all. The handle is much more ergonomic than the Para 2. If you live near a Cabelas they carry the Military. They'll price match walmart too, so you can get one in person for the same price as knifecenter etc. [/quote] Hmmm. We do have a Cabela's here. I've never see...

Re: Is the Military too big or big enough?
I personally hate things in my back pocket but that's only because for years I use to drive all day and anything in my back pockets would make my back hurt or rip my seat. Now it's just habit / ingrained. I'm pretty sure I'll pick up the Sprint Military if I can with hopes that the longer handle som...

Re: Is the Military too big or big enough?
Many a good points and plenty of enabling... I mean support! I guess I’m not being very clear though. I dont feel like the Para 2 is too big in terms of size as a knife but the handle feels odd in a big way in my hand. The shape just doesn’t align with where I want to hold the knife I guess. With th...

Re: What was your first Spyderco?
Mine was a Persistence that I absolutely love and carried as my EDC briefly before purchasing a couple other Spydercos. I've since quickly fell in love with the Para 3 and have a full blown case of Spydivirus... especially for the Para 3 and all the recent Sprints and Exclusives. Now, much like Mom3...
