Its actually a demko designed lock and he can use it when he wants. Andrew makes customs but I'm not sure what they run. If he ever left cold steel he could take it with him I'm sure. You could always commision something by him I believe ankerson has one of his customs he did a review on another for...

I would baton with a ffg manix. I just would twist the blade. It would split pretty good. Not as easy as a hollow grind or flat saber because they are wider but it would split. FFG can be bad for really extreme task that don't involve cutting. I think steel makes a big difference. If it didn't we wo...

Like any other knife. There's no particular way to use it. Just general edc task. It also depends on the overall blade shape too and what you intend to cut. I've seen some tantos with belly and some without but I find a lot of the tanto cutting is focused on the point that curves towards the tip. Th...

I guess its just fun to talk about and boast a knife's lock strength. But maybe some people live in places that don't allow FBs. I used my manix 2 to chop a 2x4. Lost a screw in the process. Should have used loctite. I almost always have a fixed blade on me now. And a stout one too. About 4.5mm thic...

Spydercrew EDC
Don't know if this has been covered. Just curious. What do the people who work for spyderco edc. Sal, Eric, Kristi, etc etc. Feel free to chime in. I'm sure Sal and Eric carry protos around a lot to help refine the designs but we all have that one knife we just keep going back to. For me its my S90V...

I think the price difference in S90V and 20cp isn't that much different. I can't say for sure but I know the S90V para2 wasn't much more than the 20cp version. Of course you have to consider the carbon fiber too which is a little more than the price of g10. Either steel would be nice though. And wou...
