I think g10 would be the best thing to happen to the spyderhawk since it was ressurected in h1. I bought one pe and se h1 spyderhawk already. I want to get another se and I would definitely buy one of each in g10. I don't have a g10 harpy or ss harpy but I have the cf one and I love it.

Its actually a demko designed lock and he can use it when he wants. Andrew makes customs but I'm not sure what they run. If he ever left cold steel he could take it with him I'm sure. You could always commision something by him I believe ankerson has one of his customs he did a review on another for...

I would baton with a ffg manix. I just would twist the blade. It would split pretty good. Not as easy as a hollow grind or flat saber because they are wider but it would split. FFG can be bad for really extreme task that don't involve cutting. I think steel makes a big difference. If it didn't we wo...

Like any other knife. There's no particular way to use it. Just general edc task. It also depends on the overall blade shape too and what you intend to cut. I've seen some tantos with belly and some without but I find a lot of the tanto cutting is focused on the point that curves towards the tip. Th...

I use my para and military to cut my cigars. The swell at the end is a good spot to place the cap.

I don't think spyderco made any japanese models in ats34. Wasn't the swiss made walker ats34. I don't think it was ffg though.

I found a serrated centofante but id prefer the pe. I might just buy it though because I like the lines. I don't know if that one is ats34 though.

I guess its just fun to talk about and boast a knife's lock strength. But maybe some people live in places that don't allow FBs. I used my manix 2 to chop a 2x4. Lost a screw in the process. Should have used loctite. I almost always have a fixed blade on me now. And a stout one too. About 4.5mm thic...

Old militaries were made with it. They come up now and then. I believe some of the first centofantes might have been ats34 too.

Manix 2. It can baton to your hearts content. Just don't use a rock to do it unless you have to. Never did any batoning with my C95manix but its also a combo edge and I don't think it would be the best bet

I need an endura. Its a flagship model that I've been avoiding because of all the other knives. I need a waved endura. Tony I knew you would tear this thread open with your collection. Are there any enduras you don't have?

Spydercrew EDC

Don't know if this has been covered. Just curious. What do the people who work for spyderco edc. Sal, Eric, Kristi, etc etc. Feel free to chime in. I'm sure Sal and Eric carry protos around a lot to help refine the designs but we all have that one knife we just keep going back to. For me its my S90V...

I think the price difference in S90V and 20cp isn't that much different. I can't say for sure but I know the S90V para2 wasn't much more than the 20cp version. Of course you have to consider the carbon fiber too which is a little more than the price of g10. Either steel would be nice though. And wou...
