Re: Very DISAPPOINTED w/ laminated steel sprint runs

Isn't this like complaining about the wavy lines on a Damascus blade?? Not to ruffle feathers or anything, but this is an expected trait of lamination/cladding for blades... If the blade lamination was separating from each other then I could see an issue! But these lines are expected and give you an...

Re: Wrong clip on delica?

I noticed that on a few of the places that had them up for preorder...kinda liked the idea of it not having a lanyard hole, as I don't use it. And, I got one without! But I may be looking to put a deep carry Lynch clip on it any way because I am really digging this knife and have been carrying it a ...

Welcome to the group. Though finding a PM2 missing a scale would be a nightmare not a good dream, I find it interesting you kept looking (in your dream). That must be your next one!

I would also suggest the Chaparral LW as another option. That little blade is such a slicer and very useful EDC.

Delica WC HAP40

Well, this Wharncliffe Delica in HAP40 checks so many boxes for me. I am extremely happy and excited as I just got it in and I am very impressed. This is my first Wharncliffe blade, first HAP40 steel, first Delica, first Sprint, first Orange handled knife... I have been following this from the start...

Re: Change in UK Knife Buying

Obviously there has been an influx of poor acid etching of blades in the UK and they just want it stopped! I guess they will have to go back to using mustard...

Spyderco Native 5, Cuscadi Customized. Dr.Jones, Stonewashed Olive Canvas Micarta Scales. Andy Hoff Leather Sheath. As far as I know the only one of the Native5 made this way by Cuscadi.
Wow, I like the deletion of all the pocket clip screw holes on that. Plus I love Micarta! Looks great.

Re: Finally got a sharpening system

I haven't seen up close the KME or used one. But I got to check out the WE at the IWA Outdoor Classics here in Germany and that sold me on their system. I love it and was very glad to get my hands on it and to see it in action before hand.

Re: Which sharpening system for convex edge?

Doesn't stropping from a hanging belt tend to convex the edge a little bit? If your stropping base gives a little bit (like the mouse pad) then your edge will convex more. I use a WE to sharpen and I use their leather strops to finish. But then I maintain between sharpenings with a hanging belt stro...
