Re: Delica 4 CQI

I always thought that hole in the clip was for the lanyard and not for adjusting/removing the pivot. for that you would need to remove said clip. I wonder what they will say? I see you position however spyderco sell the knife as bring able to use the clip in any one of four positions they do not ma...

Re: S110V Sharpening Tricks?

I would agree with bearfacedkiller, patience and especially consistency. I use a WE so the consistency is built in (not sure I would be patient enough to free hand), but my S110v PM2 does take a little more to really get it there. That's my box killer, and I don't need to sharpen it as often as othe...

I could do without as well, or at least give the clip the priority placement.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

My Lil Native is with me at work. I really am digging the size of this for my work carry (I work in a hospital), so this over my Para 3 has been my choice lately. Small, Quick with the compression lock, and a beautiful design.

Re: The officially unofficial new Techno 2 thread!

I like everything about this second iteration Techno....except the thinner blade. That is what caught my attention on the first one, that fat little blade! Still a keeper, but I will miss the beefy blade.

Welcome! I like your selection, especially the DF2s...that's what I started with and then absolutely love the Para3. Definitely get that next!

Re: Shot Show surprises

I do like the change of the blade shape on the techno 2, but I don't like that they slimmed the blade down. That was one of the cool things I liked about that little knife. I'm going to have to see about that one...I'll wait until I can get my hands on one hopefully at the IWA Outdoor Classics show.

Re: 1st dragonfly 2

My ZDP one gets pocket time the most...I absolutely love it, it's a little light saber and holds that edge forever. That one(ZDP), the HAP40 or the new sprint in V-Toku would be nice. I have also been looking at the HawkBill one to add as well. Truly, you can't go wrong. They are a great little knife!

You hit the nail right on the head! It is sturdy...just like the PM2...it has all the beef where it is needed. It is just a little smaller. I love mine!

Re: Sharpening Choil

I add them to some of mine...my DF2s and Para3 are all sporting a sharpening choil. I think it cleans up the edge and I don't notice it snagging in my use(no more than the big hunk of metal prominently before the finger choil). And I agree, it is easier to add one if you want as opposed to the oppos...

Re: Admitting when wrong

Fragile is relative to what you're using the knife for. As long as you're not prying or using it as a screwdriver I don't see how it's too fragile for any knife task. I really think the overbuilt pocket knife trend is nearing an end. It just doesn't make sense to carry around a sharpened bar of ste...

Re: You can make any Spyderco an XL...

I have actually been thinking about this for some time now...

Mine would be the Dragonfly2 and it can be called the "Dragon"!

That would be an awesome knife, the curves of the blade and handle, the blade shape...just imagine that around Para3/Delica size. I would be in for that!
