i have not had the displeasure of purchasing a bad spyderco. if anything, i wish spyderco would bring back some discontinued knives, i guess that is the only bad thing i could think of.

my first spydies were two ladybugs (one for my wife and one for my sister) and also a green g10 dragonfly. now i have 50 spyderco knives. the only reason why i have 50 is because I cannot afford 350 spyderco knives! i just got the dialex too, awesome knife!

i carry a knife because it keeps my gun and flashlight company. they are rather fond of each other.

or, you could buy all three and when you need a specific knife for a specific task, you could then grab the specific one.

I too am a newbie. I ordered my first spyderco about 5 months ago and now I have about 30! Just so you all know, the only reason why i have 30, is because I can't afford 60!! yeehaw

try the evo 5 drawer tool box from Sears. it also has a big storage area on the bottom, so you have a place to save the boxes if you want to. my wife bought it for around $90.00. I've got two of the drawers full already!
