After seeing the changes, my guess is that I'll pass on this one mainly because of the longer handle. I wear medium-sized gloves and the Stretch2 fits my hand perfectly and one of the things I like most about it is the blade-to-handle ratio (~79%). Like the Para2, I rarely use the choil which feels ...

Got mine yesterday and I'm finally a happy Para2 owner. Although I've owned a Para2 in the past and enjoyed the ergonomics and compression lock as a lefty who wears medium-sized gloves, I never warmed up to the handle length which is a bit long for my preferred left rear pocket carry. However, I cou...

Give them both jimped choils and for the Endura bring back the larger belly that came on the G10 version.

It's a keeper. Great lockup with the liner just flush with the tang (~50%). Grind is all over the place, but that can be fixed. Anyone know what steel the liners are made of and/or how the lock wears on these?

My success with closing right-handed liner locks depends on the knife. For example, I find closing the Gayle Bradley Folder to be quite easy for a left. I think this is due to the fact that it requires more downward pressure as opposed to leftward pressure. In contrast, I've tried the Military but c...

Also, after the light sanding the pivot screw needs to be tightened down all the way to eliminate the side to side play.

Thanks for your comments/input... Looking at the liners/scales more closely and comparing them to the Endura 4s, I think the problem might be that on both my Stretches the liners have been recessed more deeply so that the FRN contacts the blade more during deployment. I might try some light sanding...

Might have to use that one on my next date or interview; the neck-knife-in-place-of-tie isn't working for either.

I'm a lefty and dislike sitting on a wallet so carry it and my keys in my front pockets - the Spyderco goes in my left rear pocket tip up. For my build and clothing an Endura or PM2 gets to be a bit large whereas my Stretch and Caly 3 are a little bit more comfortable.

I would highly recommend the Stretch over the Delica. For only ~0.25" more in handle length you get almost 0.75" more in blade length. Also the ergonomics on the Stretch are much better than the Delica and I would think the blade shape would be better for hunting. As for steels, ZDP is act...

Stainless Stretch Construction

Big fan of the Stretch, but don't have the stainless version. For those that do, I was wondering how these are put together? From the pictures I've seen it doesn't appear that these have any screws visible. Thanks...

@FCM415 - I actually bought it (slightly) used and have been using it for about a month myself, so I feel it has had enough break-in time. I'm rather convinced that it's due to the liners being more recessed than on the Endura which allows for more contact with the FRN. I'll follow-up if/when I do a...

Thanks for your comments/input... @Cheddarnut - having taken apart both the Endura 4 and the Stretch I can say that share the same construction and phosphor-bronze washers. Looking at the liners/scales more closely and comparing them to the Endura 4s, I think the problem might be that on both my Str...

Stretch FRN Blade Friction/Tightness

Has anyone else noticed "excessive" blade friction/tightness on their Stretch FRN compared to similar models? I have a VG-10 and ZDP-189 and both seem to have overly tight blades that produce a rubbing sound when opened or closed. It can of course be alleviated by loosening the pivot, but ...

I'm also interested in any suggestions for painting my E4 hardware. I stopped by the SFO today and they only stock black hardware for the USA-made models, with the exception of the T6 clip screws (and clips). If it's made outside the US then they only stock the parts kit which comes with the bare ha...
