Re: Burned Edges....

I have noticed that edge holding often improves on new knives after the have been sharpened a few times. But, I do not have the equipment test the hardness of new edges. So why they improve I can not know for sure.

Re: Three methods for closing Spyderco lockbacks one handed

I usually use #1, have not been able to do #3 with my smaller lockbacks. A good lockback is a joy to use!

Re: Yakut - For the ethnic series

An interesting, purpose, driven design. I to have investigated is a bit. There are some nice youtube video's of this knife style.

Re: Fred Perrin Native Review on Nemo Geocities

Great to see that bit of Spyderco, Nemo, and Fred Perrin history back online!

Written with Lil'Native in the pocket. The Native has proven to be a strong presence in the Spyderco line-up!

Re: Spyderco’s Polestar & Alcyone should not be in the “VALUE LINEUP”

Hi Sal, I have had a Polestar and found it to be a good knife (my review) . I like that handle material! To be honest I do not think I could tell the differnce in use between BD1 and your usual Chinese steel. I would pick the Polestar over the Tanacious because of the handle material and colour, and...

Cool seeing all those 'made to cut' edges!

I do not understand modern thick edge either...

Two Slip-its I thinned out. Used an x-coarse DMT and Fallkniven DC4. Pretty happy with the results! :-)

@cmiksovsky Impressive mod! The only thing I change on my Bug's is thin and sharpen the edges.

Re: The Knife Shop Pilgrimage Thread

Great story Vivi! Thanks for sharing.

At the moment I go to Paris from the Netherlands every year and visit Nemo(3000) for some knife fun. We usually visit a knife show (or 2) and some times a knife shop. I take the fast train (Thalys) and not the bike though. Good fun!
