Funny thing
I just felt like sharing this with ya'll. Today a friend of a friend was talking to me, and I noticed an interesting looking pocket clip sticking out of his pocket. It reminded me of an ATR clip or maybe a Lil' Temp, so I asked him what he had. When I first glipsed the blade, it looked a lot like a ...

I would have a hard time doing anything much more strenuous than opening an envelope with that Calypso, especially if it had such sentimental issues. I'm a little like that with my new Persian. I'm affraid to carry it much or the black will come off the clip, and I worry about dinging the micarta. N...

That's one reason I'm so affraid to carry my new Persian too much, I don't want that beautiful clip to get too dinged up. I had a Standard model a long time ago, and by the time I lost it, nearly all the black was off the clip. An aftermarket clip might work, though I can't say. As for the bug, it l...

Scale
There's not really anything in there for scale. How big is this new knife?

Regardless of what most folks say about them being friendly, I've gotten that reaction with my dodo. People see that oddly shaped blade and a few have commented on how scary looking it is. My SE Cricket might have gotten one or two raised eyebrows but nothing worse. I guess it's the size issue, even...

I've got to try out a Manix one of these days. It looks like it has everything I like about the Chinook without the things I don't. I don't like that upswept blade on the Chinook, so the blade shape of the Manix appeals to me a lot more. Jon, you must have some huge pockets carying a Paramilitary an...

I got
Mine were an SS SE Cricket and a Persian. Got to use the cricket some, and it eats up plastic banding like a monster. Just got the Persian today, so I haven't been able to do much with it yet. I hated to put the little cricket down, so I've been carrying my Persian in my pocket and my cricket "...

I don't think you can go wrong...
I don't think you can go wrong with a delica for anybody of any age. My first knife was a Case peanut. Got it for Christmas when I was 8 and I have multiple scars on my hands from it. I hate to say this, but I'd get rid of almost all my spydercos before that I'd get rid of that one because it was my...

What if
I've been looking at the UK knife and I'm sorry things are the way they are on knives in the UK, but I'm wondering if some day they might make one to sell here in the states with a lock of some kind. It seems like it would act a lot like a G10 delica if there was such a thing. It's just a thought.

Goddard sprint run impressions
I'm thinking seriously about getting one of the new Goddards next. After the bite that Dodo took out of my money, it will be a little while before I can do it, but I want to know what you folks think of it. Since it's a collector's item, I wouldn't use it for any hard stuff, but it looks like a good...

I appreciate that. I used just a flat stone, and managed to get something of a sharp point on it again. It's not that noticable unless you had a brand new one to hold it next to. As for the quality, mine is top notch. I don't see any defects in it at all. I guess the one with the uneven edge is just...

Finally got a dodo
Finally got a dodo a couple of days ago. Got the black one. Blue handles just don't do it for me. Already dinged the needle point of it. Is there a handy way to sharpen that back into it, or will it always be a tad bit less pointy on the end from now on? Either way, I doubt I'll use it as much as my...

I'd love to see them make the Jess Horn again, even with the gray handle. I looked on that website last night and saw the Jess Horns, but today, it's gone. I guess he sold them. New ones wouldn't have so much collectible value right away, so could probably be sold cheaper than the $50 or $55 he had ...
