The answer is of course:

SPYDERTHROWERS!! :D
tbh this is the most tempting one... Maybe 2 sets of medium throwers and a serrated wharny salt 2 just for fun.

Re: Sage 5-Rex121 -Forum knife- Sal-series

Not reeaaaaaallly a reasonable steel to machine en mass. I agree with the sage getting more steel options, especially the 2 and 5. But I don’t think the price of a rex121 blade from a production knife company would strike a chord with many many, if any. I’d be quicker to support a sage 2 or 5 in Mag...

going on vacation soon, so I need a new knife :)

I've been getting reeeeally beat up at work and am taking some much needed time off out away from civilization in a month or so. At work I use my Takamura kitchen knives and my caribbean constantly, they're both spectacular but it all gets old after so much use. Basically I just want something (or m...

Re: Which one will dominate?

Spy27 will probably be the most prevalent, sweeping the main line. But MagnaCut will probably be a mainstay in sprints and special taichungs going forward like s90v is now.

If only this was not LW, I would love this in G10 same color

Also the wording everywhere seems to say exclusive instead of sprint, meaning a continuous production yes?

Re: Sage 5 Lightweight Frenzy

I like the design a lot, just waitin' for steel variations to sweep the lineup. Slap s90v on either the 2 or the 5 and I'm on it in an instant.

Re: What Spyderco has surprised you the most?

Thats awesome, you have to love that. Ironically, the Watu is on my radar and definitely outside my comfort zone. Go for it! I could shower that knife in praise all day, nothing beats it in the spyderco lineup as a dedicated slicer. Except maybe the lil' nilakka, but that's been discontinued since ...

Re: What Spyderco has surprised you the most?

Very cool. That’s a great point about getting outside your comfort zone. Exactly what the Chef was for me. But man, so glad I tried it. Will definitely be stepping out of the comfort zone on the next few knives! All my favorites have been shots in the dark, when I got the watu my original plan was ...

Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive

Seems like an nice little backup, although I always thought the dragonfly carried kinda shallow.

Also cutlery shoppe says 168 again for me, could someone from spyderco chime in and clear this up please?

Re: What Spyderco has surprised you the most?

Rhino. Completely outside my comfort zone and absolutely my favorite small knife. It goes outside all my usual knife criteria, being tiny, having an odd blade shape, a very sculpted handle, a standard steel, talk online about the action being sub par, and peel ply cf with a non standard clip pattern...

Re: Most underappreciated steel?

SG2/R2. Nuff' said. It should be the gold standard for kitchen knives, but the industry seems to be infatuated with vg10 and bd1n (or 440c if you're German.) I've been absolutely abusing a few work knives in the stuff and they've held up amazingly, I'm yet to chip it, it holds a fine edge for longer...

Re: What steel would you like to see in a future Endura?

3v will always be my favorite regularly available tool steel, and I think we've seen one model in it from spyderco and it's been discontinued since the beginning of time.

Would I prefer a g10 Native 5 in 3v? Yes. But I'll take it where I can get it.

Re: Whats the longest you've ever gone without using a particular knife?

I keep my collection pretty small, so usually everything is in rotation. But I did leave my Spydiechef in my pack for a few months before I sold it.

For knives actually in rotation I left my Watu for a few weeks after I got my Rhino back in. All my knives get attention :D

Re: Native 5 FRN in S90V

I keep getting tempted by it just because I love s90v so much. Maybe I should nab a G10 native and do another blade swap.
