Do high end Spydercos outperform customs?

I've seen a lot of people say that they buy custom knives because production knives aren't reliable or tough enough. However, I find it difficult to believe that the higher end Spydercos like the Chinook & Lil Temperance with the benefit of CNC equipment and R&D wouldn't hold up to more abus...

Thanks for the responses everyone. Samo, we might agree on Spydies but for watches I prefer Tag Heuer in that price range<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>. Fozzy, I like the Kirium as well but prefer the automatic chronometer. People have also mentioned a couple of bran...

Guys, thanks for the responses.I've always thought that knives, watches, torches, pens and other gadgets always go together..ie if you like one of these, there's a high chance you'll like the others. Carlos, I'm ashamed to say I've never heard of those independent watchmakers but have always wanted a...

I've ordered quite a few things from him...and found him to be very prompt and helpful...with great prices to boot. Mrb, he ships to Sydney but I don't know about cold, dreary Melbourne....<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

What watches do you wear?

Hi people, a bit off topic but I was just wondering what watches you spydernuts prefer? Carlos, since you're a watch expert, I would particularly be interested to see what brands you wear or recommend. I wear a Tag Heuer 6000 series as edw (everyday wear) and a Nike digital for going to the gym. Edi...

Wiley, I'm not saying you did the wrong thing but it might have been wiser to just ignore his insults and go into your house, especially since you had reached your house already. In light of the hockey dad case, the fact that you have MBC and martial arts training would count against you if you had ...

Duplicate knives anyone???

Does anyone else here have the tendency to buy Spydies in duplicates or is it just me? I have 2 Chinooks, 2 CF Civilians, 2 Natives etc...well you get the idea and they're all in the same configuration (serrated or ps). I know the money would be better spent on other knives but I just can't help mys...

Golok, spyderco has been around for about 20 years. I suppose one of their most popular models would have been the worker as it wss in production for nearly 20 years.....After getting the commemorative edition, I can see why.
