I don’t really pay too much attention to Salts, but this is a great shot, and that’s a great selection of knives!

Re: Fixed blade EDC
A Frontier Valley in Cru-wear sounds about perfect, how do you like A2 steel? Agreed for sure on the Cruwear front! They've done a few in 3V and I think even in Magnacut, but A2 is their bread + butter. I haven't used AEB-L yet, but I think it's pretty similar. Both steels prioritize toughness over...

Re: Fixed blade EDC
My most commonly-carried edc fixie is this LT Wright Frontier Valley in A2. It’s about 3, similar to the Bradford Guardian 3. https://i.imgur.com/N62KZF8.jpg The stock JRE sheath is really nice, but I picked up an aftermarket horizontal carry sheath from Delta Knife + Sheath that is even less conspi...

Re: New lefty EDC
I have those three knives also, and the PM2 gets the most pocket time. The native is too small, and the Manix has very specific ergonomics. The PM2 just always works well for anything I need to get done, is very comfortable in hand, and is about the right size for an edc.

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
My little brother moved the past weekend. Feel free to guess, how many had a knife in the pocket. Yes, out of five people, I was the only one. Look on the bright side: you know just what to get your brother for a housewarming gift! Good idea, but he already got bike parts. I know, those aren't help...

Re: Scale swap question...
It’s for sure a direct swap. I did a lw-lw swap, but you can do the G10 too.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Yesterday’s carry. I love that this knife works just as well as an edc as it does an ultralight backup. Yesterday it was my mtb ride buddy and my afternoon chore buddy.

Re: Different knife different day, or one knife for life?
I think I'm slowing down, both in new knife purchases and in the need t0 switch knives from day to day. I think I could probably get away with a Shaman, Stretch (esp. XL), PM2, or Military and be fine for life. Maybe 2, so I would always have one sharp. That said... where's the fun on limiting yours...

Re: Masters of the Air
When I was a senior in high school I was over visiting a friend . I got to know his Dad who I really bonded with and respected but never knew anything about his past . We were talking in the garage and he came out with a jacket and asked me to try it on to see if fit me and it did . He told me he w...

Re: Masters of the Air
My father flew on B17's during WWII. He would never talk about it and was angry at a lot of things they made them do. The only thing I know is that he said he survived a crash in the desert and that most of the men in his squadron didn't survive. My Grandfather, my namesake, served in Korea. He joi...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Protech Malibu Tiny little thing that packs a lot of edge for its size. Compared to an Endela. Blade is too thick for the size in my opinion, and needed an edge when I got it. Reprofiled a bit and will go lower the first opportunity I have. I really like how Protech builds their knives in Californi...

Stellar. Really love the handle shape and the CRK-like laidback design. Enjoy it!
