Re: 2024 Spyderco Forum Calendar Contest!

Representing all people who do their public service in blue light organizations, I have chosen the police model. How would we all fare if this work were not done? Law, order, security and help in an emergency would be severely restricted. Thank you to all who serve! Serrations symbolize the waves of...

I should have never sold the S30V green G10 sprint.
Sorry to interrupt your dreams, but to my knowledge there was only one model with G-10 (dark green) and this one was with VG-10. ;)

It appears that all solutions are intractable and our European friends must suffer like Sisyphus. :-||
Well said, thank you!
Guess this is also the reason why you don‘t hear from US-tourist they brought back a new Spydie after a trip to Europe :winking-tongue

Re: IDs and Registration to Buy Knives!

UK is not member in EU … it is special in „some“ regards ;)

IMHO there is no registration of personal information in EU-countries and in my home country Austria is even no limitation concerning knives … actually as Austrian with my „knife-practice“ I would have more troubles in the USA as I wish.

Re: Still the best pocket knife Spyderco ever made

Europeans have an understandable bias toward slippies (think hyper-restrictive knife-laws), ... I don't want to let that go unchallenged, as this is a very superficial way of looking at it, because there is no such thing as a European knife law. The bandwidth ranges from "everything is allowed...

Re: Tell Me What I Have Here Please

The name of this model is visible on the handle "Rescue", Spyderco SKU C14, introduced in 1991 and production up to 1997. The handle colors were black/white/yellow/green/orange. Yours is with the broader molded clip and AUS-8 stainless steel blade, therefore I think it is a later specimen....

The "foriegn" misspelling on diverse clips is a well known historical mistake from :bug-red

I own an equal Military with CE and some years ago I thankfully got replacement screws from customer service in their headquarter ... contact them, it's worth the try.

Re: Was the Nirvana just too expensive?

The Nirvana was by no means too expensive, in fact most prospective buyers didn't have enough money for it or didn't want to spend that much money on a Spydie. I didn't buy one myself either.
