Re: Poll: Which Golden Model Do You Want to See in 15V Next?
I know it’s not on the list, Military 1.
Just in case it’s on a sunset. Could be the last chance as the knife makers at Golden still make them. In the future the Military 2 will likely dominate.

Re: Potential for other models to come in 15V
The 15V heat treat has been well received. Guessing the standard Gas laden models “should” follow. I’m holding out for the Native 5 and Para 3 as 3” blade is needed by a few. Military would sell as well.

I might have to cave on this one.
Guessing it’s going to be really nice. I hope they ground them thin, thin. It has hefty blades stock so take it down skinny at the edge.

I would stay default, right side tip down. I am a Millie 1 fan. Enjoy the 2 any way you want to carry.

Re: Ideal Blade Steels For Whittling?
My Gayle Bradly Air has been a fine whittling knife. The handle is a little to small for longer sessions but the wharnie M4 blade is built for the task.

Re: Native 5 Salt SE or PE?
I dunno I'd say the exact opposite, small blades benefit from serrations because they literally add edge length and cutting aggression. Small blades suffer from less space to make slicing motions, but serrations are slicing 99% of the time. An easier comparison here is a PE Ladybug vs a SE Ladybug....

Re: How have your preferences changed over the years?
Hard to accept but the best knife I have picked up in years is a Manbug Salt, H1 SE. They should issue these to Dad's when they leave delivery. Exceptionally capable tool.
I know I don't need another knife. Trying to limit it to Military 1's and Native 5's of interest.

Re: Ideal Blade Steels For Whittling?
One of my thoughts for a Native 5 in 52100. I like the Native 5 for whittling. Something about the choil being the natural grip and the 52100 being well heat treated in past spyderco models. AEB-L would be the stainless option.

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)
But, I sure want to hear more about how the Military2 performs, and particularly how it compares to the original. In other words, what separates the Military2 in the right direction? I hope they keep the Military 1. Imagine all the Military 2 owners years in the future asking for the original model...

I have been hoping the native 5and Chief would get 52100. You never know. Sal made it happen for the military family.

Re: Military 2 (PRE-ORDER) posted on KnifeCenter $196
To reiterate, a Military without a liner lock is not a legitimate Military in my eyes -- it's a PM2XL. It's an "emperor has no clothes" scenario. However, Spyderco clearly has the right to name their knives with whatever moniker they choose. Agree, like many. Happy for those waiting for t...

Re: CPM 15V Sprint sharpening and performance thread
A few of us are hoping for a Military (1), Native 5 and Native Chief in 15V. It’s not like they got a soft response to the first batch of sprints. I’m looking forward to a chance of AEB-L in the same models listed above. I have decided to try and wait it out.

Re: I think we’re reaching the limit
I want to say I have reached the limit. I do have some H1 fomo knowing its going out of stock. I think the Maxamet line at Spyderco is a gift. We are so lucky these knives are available. I will watch for 15V Native 5 somewhere down the line, think about another Pac Salt in H1 or a Maxamet back up. L...
