Re: Stainless Steel Restaurant Fabricators can make Custom-K

Would you want a custom knifemaker to furnish the rest of your kitchen or would you go to someone who specialized in that?

Variety in the collection (pics/thoughts)

Been quite a while since I had a few minutes to breathe and post some, so I'll give a quick run-down, pictures and thoughts mostly, of some of the knives I've obtained and used during my hiatus. Feel free to post some thoughts! I posted in the Nilte Quiete thread a few weeks ago that I'd found one o...

Re: Lil' Temperance SPRINT?

My leaf has been sitting waiting for some use. I'd be down for a 110V or some high-alloy steel.

I polished mine with Flitz as well. Keep in mind it will fade the etching on the logo and everything else. Now Sal's maker mark and the logo are a lot less visible unless the blade is turned at a slight angle. It keeps a patina now as well as it did before, the Flitz didn't change much except remove...

I'd be interested to see some pics, not a fan of chisel grinds but this might change my mind.

For some reason I ended up with two Cruwear Militaries. I purposely got two 110V forum Natives, two Swick3s to put different handles on, and two SB 3.5s, because they came from Canada - shipping was $35 for one and $37 for two, so I figured I could sell one and make my money back on shipping. This w...

I'm a fan. Love the machine work and attention to detail.

What's the warranty like? Post pics if you start to abuse it like your Zwear.

A little over a year since my last post in this thread, but thought I'd let you guys know I finally came across one on BF for $150, so I had to try it out. Should be getting here Tuesday or Wednesday. Will try my hardest to put up some picture and a little write up along with some other non-Spyderco...

Demon, good to know another MatSci grad is here. I finished up at Virginia Tech a few years ago myself. We had selective laser sintering capabilities to make some parts but they were usually used in trade shows and demos.

Nothing wrong with a good knife! I need to look into more Benchmades.

I've branched out from Spyderco to CRK, Strider, Rockstead, ZT and now a DPx coming. To me the HEST doesnt seem to fit the trend, but it is a left-hand framelock and that's ok in my book.

I buy the knife for the blade, don't mind the clips as much. I do know that I've broken the wire clips and only bent the hourglass clips.

Yeah, overcast days are great because the cloud layer acts as a giant diffuser. No dark shadows, no blown highlights!

Received mine a few days ago and now that the Tuf-Glide is dry, it's in my pocket. Sweet knife! The diamond cut pattern gets lost in the gray G10 unlike the forum Native. I like both, but the Manix has a lot of grip and the pattern isn't visible unless you hold it at an angle under light. Great comb...
