Re: Why does Spyderco not make more autos?
Hi, StuttgartMadness: Welcome to our forum. We hope you enjoy your time with us! We're bound by federal law so oftentimes the changes made at a state level have less of an effect than one might realize (even our own state). We also have city and county laws to abide by as well. I think this discuss...

Why does Spyderco not make more autos?
Why hasn't Spyderco made more than one auto? Not saying the Autonomy is a bad knife, I love it! But why not offer it in more than a sheepsfoot serrated blade? This is a BIG market (especially with a few states recent repeal of the Switchblade Act, including Spyderco's home state, Colorado) that Spyd...

Re: Question about the Polestar...
Hi Stuttgartmadness, Mrags, Welcome to our forum. The Polestar was designed to be more of an affordable smaller Miliie primarily for the Boy Scouts of America. I did the best I could given the parameters of an "affordable" model. We're using a USA made steel, properly heat treated in an e...

Re: The best place to buy Spyders?
Spyderco uses MAP (minimum advertised price) pricing, which means that any dealer cannot (technically they can, but they won't be a dealer after that) advertise at less than the MAP, which is MSRP - 40%. So most dealers online advertise at 60% of MSRP, and you won't find much difference in price am...

Question about the Polestar...
So...
Is the Polestar supposed to be the Tenacious with a steel upgrade, or a Manix with a linerlock?

Huh, the link worked for me...Evil D wrote:Linky no worky.
That is a good deal though.
Just go to their site (bladehq.com) and look through their "sale items" list, or search for it. It should be there...

Blade HQ deal on De Leeuw Friction Folder
Was just doing my ritualistic check of Blade HQ's sales and closeouts, and spotted what looks like a killer deal on the De Leeuw folder. Down to $110 from $320!

The best place to buy Spyders?
So the title kinda says it, but where is the best place to buy Spyderco knives? (I.e. where can I find the lowest prices?)
I'm new to Spyderco, hoping to get a Native5 S110V or other super-steel equipped Spyder in the near future...

Re: Native 5 or Manix 2?
It was because the Manix G-10 S110V was actually cheaper than the Lightweight version.abbazaba wrote:If you're looking at the Native5 LW, why not the Manix2 LW? I carry a LW over the G10 most of the time.
And OH HOW I DOES ENVY YOUR BLADES M8

Re: Native 5 or Manix 2?
It's obviously subjective, but I wouldn't describe the Manix as a "smidge" bigger than the Native, just bigger. That may be an important deciding factor for you besides price. I tend to carry smaller blades more often, weekdays, office, etc... and only put a larger blade like the Manix, P...

What happened to ZDP-189??
So... Where did ZDP-189 go?? It seemed a couple years ago almost all the latest and greatest Spyders had ZDP steel on it. Now, it's just kinda... Stagnant. Nothing new has come out with it (I'd LOVE to see a Native5 in ZDP) Now it seems to have been almost completely replaced by S110V... Is there so...

Re: Native 5 or Manix 2?
That price on the Manix is a bit of an anomaly. It should be $140. I would jump on it at that price if I were you. You wont find it at that price elsewhere and it wont stay at that price on Amazon for very long. I prefer the Manix over the Native5 anyway. That is weird, I just checked it out again,...

Native 5 or Manix 2?
Hi there guys, I'm currently in the market for (my first) Spyderco, and I wanted to start things off with something that has S110V. I know all the drawbacks to it and all that so you can spare the "It's too hard to sharpen" comments XD Anyway, I'm looking at either the Native 5 Lightweight...
