Re: Sharpest Factory Edge?
Received a large Lum Chinese Folder today, VG10 steel, it is the sharpest factory edge I have seen. Previously I thought the Lum Chinese folder ZDP, or the Para 3 Maxamet were the sharpest, shocking!

Re: Sharpest Factory Edge?
Just out of curiosity, what was your sharpest-from-factory Spyderco? Mine was my ZDP-189 Manbug. I was amazed how sharp that little knife was: I could whittle hair with it right out of the box. All of my Spydercos came super sharp but that Manbug was the top. How about you? I have the Endura ZDP fr...

Re: Native 5, Maxamet, and other thoughts
I find almost any handle to be beautiful, I worry about all handles becoming scratched in the pocket or by accident while using, but for some unknowable reason I don't worry about scratching a FRN handle, they are so light in the pocket, they are quite forgiving in so many ways, they will always be ...

I was wondering if it yielded a stronger tip somehow?

Why do PPT's and Yojimbo's both use s90v?
Why are both the Yojimbo and PPT using s90v in their premium iterations?

Re: Sharpest Factory Edge?
First received the Para 3 in Maxamed, being it's factory edge was the sharpest every received, thought I would give the Native 5 LW Maxamed a try, it also arrived with super sharp edge. I then ordered the Manix 2 LW Maxamed, and it was also super sharp, all three were noticeably sharper from the fac...

I'd be in for the PM2 Maxamet, would love to see sculpted CF scales, similar to the PPT.Deadboxhero wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 1:57 amDo we have more of this magical steel coming?

Re: BHQ Lum C65 Jade HAP40 vs. Original Imperial Green
Just received the new Lum sprint run. First thing noticed it's lighter in hand than expected, then noted blade stock tapers quickly. The G10 scales are thin helping with the lightness of weight and translucence of light, revealing the artful skeletonize liners, complementing the beauty of the Spydie...

Re: Gentlemen's choice - urban k390 or chaparral light weight?
Hey Forest Green, Is yours smooth to open it does it rub/grate? And if it does rub which part of the opening does it rub during? Mine is distinctly on the first 90 degrees from the closed position. I notice that in the inside of the FRN near the choil that it looks to have been filed down on either...

https://www.knifecenter.com/item/SP81GPBN2/spyderco-c81gpbn2-paramilitary-2-folding-knife-s35vn-satin-blade-earth-brown-g10-handles-sprint-run This just seems odd to me. It was supposedly a limited sprintrun and has been sold out everywhere else for a long, long while. But according to this page, t...

Re: Gentlemen's choice - urban k390 or chaparral light weight?
Well I received the knife and I really like it. In comparison to the dragonfly that I already have it is noticably larger in both blade length and inspite of roughly the same length handle it fits and fills my hand better. Just as a reference this is the largest knife I have so the "noticably ...

Re: BHQ HAP40/Jade Lum Chinese Folder
Jade handles really makes sense for a Chinese folder due to the Chinese historical reverence for the gemstone.
