I always just use superglue. Squeeze the cut shut and put a little glue over it and you're all set. It helps if you can stop the bleeding before you glue it shut though or it'll blood blister. This one is already shut for the most part on its own, might not have been as bad as i thought. Just reall...

Thats just what I would spend on it. I bid on it as well but didnt want spend much more then 50$. Buts thats just me. Someone else might like it for $100. Yeah, I knew that $300 NIB is insane (that's what it's listed for on buy it now), but I did look at some old threads from after it came out, and...

I think you did ok around $60 used with no box. I myself would not pay much more then that.. but that's me. Really? I've seen indications that they have sold for several times that with a box. Maybe those were unusual cases, or maybe the box is really important? I figured I would probably get $100 ...

Value of used R2?
Hey--I just won an auction for an R2. It is used and does not include a box. It does appear to be in very good condition though, no scratches on the blades, etc. Can anyone who follows what things go for on other forums and on ebay give me a basic idea of what this would be worth in its current stat...

I have a humble, yet respectable collection of (I believe) 32 knives. If you include the few that I've owned and gifted away or lost, it's more like 35 or 36. I'm happy with the ones I have, and sometime just stare at them and bask in their awesomeness, but I feel like I have like maybe 10% of the t...

I think it's silly to skip the Caly just because you want to potentially be able to take it apart, even though you never have and probably never will... The Caly is, IMO, one of the finest production blades in existence, with amazing quality in materials and craftsmanship. It does have a large torx ...

I use the same kind of paracord lanyard that is shown in the video. There's great instructional video from Cutlerylover explaining how to make it. I have very large hands (XL/XXL glove size), and I can easily open my Ladybug one-handed. I can even flick it out. I use it often, as it is the one knife...

For the last several months, I've always carried my H-1 Ladybug SE as a backup blade. It's great, because I forget I have it until I need it, I don't have to worry about it rusting if I forget about it and it gets wet, and it's nice to have a little SE blade. The Dragonfly would work well too, as so...

Welcome to the forums! At the beginning I used to think that if I could just get this knife and that knife, I would be satisfied. Now I have accepted that as soon as I get all the knives I want, plenty of new ones will pop up :D ! So I just buy whatever I can, and pine over the ones I can't afford. ...

I agree with Blerv...I was going to suggest a hawkbill based on your cutting needs. If it's just ties and ropes, that's definitely the best blade shape. If you're going to use it for other general EDC stuff, there are lots of great options, but I love my Stretch 2 as well. The Sage is good, but Bler...

This is by far the most restrained and respectful forum I have frequented. Sometimes things get misinterpreted, but we generally correct ourselves and get back on course. 'Nuff said. I agree completely...I've never seen a more level-headed, courteous, and trustworthy group of people on any other fo...

As has been mentioned, washing the stones after several uses (especially the fine ones) is necessary for them to work well. Other than that, my biggest suggestions would be: A)Stay on the coarsest grit until you can cut paper. That's the grit you use to get your edge. The rest just refine the edge a...

If you want something that fits like a glove and is a similar size to the Flash 2, I would strongly suggest checking out the Stretch 2 in VG-10 (it's about $20 more, and well worth it). Not that the Endura and Delica aren't awesome--of the 2, I prefer the Delica for EDC, and I have large hands. The ...
