Re: Autonomy Spring Replacement Kit Applicability

I have a few of these kits for my various autonomy(2) knives. The kits work for both models. Also the kits distinguish between satin and black, which makes the only difference being the color of the replacement screw. On the autonomy 2’s I’ve taken apart, I reused the original screws after cleaning ...

Hi Alex, if this collab ever materializes in the far, far future, please kindly make the clips ambidextrous...thanks! From all lefties out there.
😉
Please don’t listen to this confused being. Lefties, like redheads, are likely not even human.

Signed a proud righty. :smiling-hearts

Re: SPK Lamia colab

Will the features that make the Lamia special translate into the production side? Genuinely curious, what do you consider those features to be, Add me as another curious to know. I looked around the website for SPK. The Lamia is a great looking knife but I’m digging the textured handles and vibrant...

The Said Knife in Question.
That’s a very aesthetically appealing knife. I’d be interested in such a knife if the steel chosen reflects the overall upscale design.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Be aware that Dack Outdoors customer service is as poor as it gets. Their shipping times are also incredibly slow. I waited 2 months for my order last year.

You’ll get your stuff, you just probably won’t be happy about the process.

Re: Price increases 2023?

I like spyderco as a company and spydercos as pocket knives. I have a lot of them. But I’m finding the value to not be equivalent to pricing lately. If prices continue to rise I’m likely out as a buyer barring any exceptionally interesting new collaborations. Lately I’ve been buying many more knives...

Re: Seconds sale 2022

I’m tempted but having been to a few seconds sales I’m a little wary of buying sight unseen. What's the gnarliest thing you've seen sold as a second? For myself: warped blades that contact liners on closing necessitating you to push the blade over so it closes, and knives that have actions so tight...

Cyber Monday sale site crash fun

For the last hour I’ve been getting declined on my payment and this below message popped up on the third try through checkout. I called spyderco, detailed the problem and the error message, and I was told “keep trying to pay”. Somehow I doubt continued payment attempts will push it through on an err...

I was always curious about what happened to the original Wolfspyder. I can’t recall ever seeing it on a discontinued list but it seemingly disappeared. I hope there’s no design change and this is just a material update.
They’re still at SFO and available overseas.

Re: The Elephant In The Reveal (besides the BBB Manix): The Lil Temperance LW Price

The cost may be the cost but if only 300 people are willing to buy it, perhaps the cost is not in line with what the market will bear. It’s clear that many people find the cost to be far too high and very few people are publicly stating the cost is appropriate.

That’s called a clue.

I’ll say it. Some of these prices are ridiculously high and outside the bounds of reasonableness.

Countries other than the United States are going to see extremely high and untenable pricing.

Re: Is a DLC coated pm2 with k390 steel and green canvas micarta basically the quintessential folding knife?

I vote no.

Having had a factory micarta pm2, I wholly prefer the g10 version over the micarta.

I also don’t like coated blades.

Green G10 k390 uncoated pm2? Hmmm… bento box sells that, or sold that combo.

Re: Trying to Justify a Lil Native in s90v/CF

I get that s90v and cf come at a premium price but man, that price is too high. It’s Gucci knife realm for what you actually get. I like the lil native and I like cf/s90v but the value just isn’t there. I was stoked to get the Rex45 lil native for 120ish but a $100 increase certainly does not feel r...

GB2 is an excellent choice. I have two and enjoy both!
Are the scales on the GB2 standard or aftermarket? They look great.
They do, don’t they! OD green micarta at sharp dressed knives. ~$70. Totally worth it.

Re: M4 Shaman vs Cruwear PM2 vs GB2

I responded earlier and voiced my opinion towards either the gb2 or shaman, with no preference to either. Both are (well, all three actually) are excellent knives but I’m much more concerned about the acute tip of the pm2. As you can see the shaman and gb2 have more stable tips for hard work, this i...
