Forum Challenges

Hey, everyone: We're aware of and still working on the challenges seen on the forum within the last week or so. There is an incredibly aggressive web crawler hitting the forum. Web crawlers are usually pretty benign and don't use many resources - usually. This one is tricky. It's hitting so fast and...

Re: Private Messages Outbox vs. Sent

"You are not authorised to read private messages that are on hold." I'm getting this as well. Cleared out PM's down to 75% but still can't view new messages. Kristi? Hi, legOFwhat: You might try clearing your cache. I've not seen that message before, but it sounds like a cache issue. Let ...

Hi, zenfoldor: Welcome to our forum. To answer your question, yes, the 2 Para Military 2 Salt Series models have nested liners. You can always refer to our website , or the information we released in Reveal 14 . There wasn't anything wrong with your first post; we just didn't get to it yet. Post app...

Re: Forum problems?

We blocked that search engine, and another has come along to do the same thing. Usually, these aren't so aggressive. We're adjusting some settings, so hopefully, everything will level out soon.

Re: Reveal 14 Live!

All this enthusiasm for the Reveal seems to have blown up the forum server. It's as slow as the Spydie Store on Mule Drop Day! It was actually the equivalent of a DDoS attack from an overzealous search engine outside the U.S. We've blocked it, so there shouldn't be any more issues. Kristi

Re: Terrible Service

Is it normal for Spyderco to ignore you? I have filled in several of their contact form and had no reply. Hi, SkipperSD: Welcome to our forum. To answer your question, no. It's not at all normal for us to ignore our customers. I'm sorry you haven't received a reply. I would suggest checking your sp...

Please fix, makes searching harder.

JMHO
Hi, aka:
The Locking Folding category on our website was replaced by the CLIPIT category. So, it's not a bug, just a change.

Thank you, WilliamMunny! It looks like that was shared by our very own ozspyder back in 2009, https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36892&start=20 (about halfway down the second page). Apparently, it was an anomaly (that happened twice that we can account for anyway). Rocco, please ...
