Re: Boxes and stickers
I put Spyderco and dealer stickers on my knife boxes, and store the Spyderco boxes on plastic storage boxes. Does that make sense? Wait... why wouldn't that make sense!? :winking-tongue https://i.ibb.co/Z2c235j/IMG-7798.jpg I now have a wall in my workshop dedicated to spyderco stickers, and a shel...

Re: Spyderco liner locks
I understand the trepidation if your only experience with the liner locks is from "gas station knives".. some of those are downright sketchy. That said, any reputable knife company is going to be able to put out a perfectly safe, effective liner lock. Spyderco is a very reputable company. ...

Re: Warranties, Forum Etiquette, and a Thank You
Welcome Blaine! Got a little into the weeds there for me regarding the correlation between the ability to flick one's knife & being a "hater," but I'm in general agreement with a lot of the points raised. Old school has butted heads with new since the inception of humanity. There's a p...

Re: K390 Lil' Temperance3 Lightweight In Stk
^ Yes. The opening action is very smooth and the crisp detent makes for an easy and authoritative thumb/“Spydie flick” opening but it’s nothing like a PM2; there is no “drop-shutty” (man, I hate even typing that..) with regard to the closing action. With some practice and intention, the LT3 LW is a ...

Re: Dream Salt Knives
I've been carrying my SNK 4V Goddard* for the better part of the last week or two since it arrived.. it's been hot and very humid so far this July and on more than one occasion, I've thought to myself - "I wish this was a Salt!" I think the Goddard would make a perfect Salt knife. *no issu...

Re: *Spydie Summer Sale 2023*
I managed to hold out for all of one day not buying a sale Spydie.. On the second day of the sale, I ended up ordering a SpyOpera (base model) for $99 from Ridge Runner Blades. Amazing deal! I'd never heard of RRB, but decided to order based on several members here saying they were a legit dealer (t...

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!
Nice disassembly pic! Haven't tried it yet with mine, but something tells me the reduction in hardware doesn't lend itself to a reduction in swear words uttered during reassembly.. :winking-tongue The only thing that could have made it worse was if I had stabbed myself. So your Goddard has been rea...

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!
Is the lightweight Stretch XL as solid as the Goddard? Asking about handle flex and liners. I picked mine up on Monday and carried it while I push-mowed the lawn last night. Overall, very impressed. The weight is great. I like the clip placement, too. It gives me plenty of purchase when I pull the ...

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!
Got one, easy peasy! My first new Spyderco in a while, pretty excited about it.
Pretty cool that SNK has the stock counter.. almost half sold at the 15 min mark. Anyone who wants one and has been paying attention to the clock should have a shot at it.. nice!

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
White Mountain Knives has a number of "add to cart" specials on Spyderco knives. Search "June Sale," filter for Spyderco and add to cart to see the deals. The usual 10%-off codes work as well. There are a handful of K390 and "Thin Line" series options available, but the...

Pro-Tech Malibus in MagnaCut have been trickling out to dealers. I got one last week.. seems to be pretty great so far..my experience is inline with all the others calling MagnaCut fantastic.. I haven't had the knife long enough to provide any long-term data, but my initial impression is favorable..

Re: Did I get a used Shaman?
Maybe not "used".. but the fingerprints are definitely indicative of the knife having been handled excessively for being sold as "new." Most likely a return, imo. The last guy probably fondled it a bit, nit-picking over whether or not he could live with the scale finish, before d...

Re: Fake GITD Delica?
Looks legit to me. Aside from the standard visual cues on the knife looking correct, the "sheet of paper with copy from Spyderco" also provides a clue to the knife's authenticity. The first paragraph explains that this Delica is a wholesale retailer/distributor exclusive model. Sportsmans ...

I have the lil guy.. as mentioned, definitley not the sliciest blade Spyderco makes, but very robust and typically Taichung sharp nonetheless. The f&f is remarkable.. the poslished g10 inset into the stainless bolsters.. truly fantastic craftsmanship. The action is smooth & thumb stud lock-u...
