Jeff,

The hollow-ground, serrated G-10 Police is the predecesor to the flat-ground G-10 police. I think! I know that I have had one for a while. Maybe the serrated ones were never flat-ground?

Now I'm confused.

JohnE,

To my knowledge, the Dragonfly Lightweight does NOT have a reversible clip. Barring recent changes: black checkered fiberglass-reinforced nylon resin handles, AUS-8 steel. Excellent ergonomics.

Blades and KenN, thank you for your responses. I was not clear. It is the Tanto folder (SC-46P), not the Chinese Folder (SC-65P). I understood that some of these have the titanium liner. I am unfamiliar with titanium and do not know how to distinguish it from stainless steel. This knife's liner look...

TitaniumLumQuestion

Howdy,

I just recieved my titanium-handled Bob Lum and it is beautiful. I was wondering; do these handles require any special care, do some have titanium pocket clips, and how do I tell if the liner lock is titanium or not?

Thanks,

Stu

JohnE,

I think the Delica 98 refers to the FRN(synthetic)-handled version and the Delica II refers to the stainless steel-handled version.
There is a newer version of the Delica98. I believe you can see this one on the Spyderco Products page; the stainless one as well.

Goodbadugly, Welcome to the Forum. Mr. Blonde gave an excellent description of this knife. I'll add that you will not regret owning a Military model. It is a pleasure to use. I to prefer the plain edge but, that seems to me to be solely a personal preference. I do not know what your experience with ...

Howdy,

Yeah, some colors would be fun. I would still be partial to black because it is inconspicuous. It blends in with my belt, etc. However, I'm sure if Spyderco made some colored G-10 models they would be just too cool to resist.

I'm already confused.

Take care,

Hello everyone. I hope you are all having a great weekend. Here's my question: Could very hot dish water affect the edge retention, temper(?),of a Spyderco, a Bill Moran for instance? I ask because I was told, as a meat packer, not to put my Forschener's in the dishwasher for this very reason. I do ...

This is sounding very exciting. I love my SS Endura and have carried it every day since it's purchase, well over four years ago. In my opinion, if you changed any of the "feel" of that knife you would dilute it's strong history and original intention. I would support cosmetic or funtional ...

StevieK,

To my knowledge, that is the new Police G-10 Plain edge. It is flat-ground and without the grind on top of the blade (probably not enough blade material to make it feasable.)
The Spyderedge Police G-10 is still hollow-ground and includes the top grind.

Thanks to everyone for replying to my post.

I know that people generally develop their preference for every day carry through a very personal process of trial and error. I appreciate those of you who have taken time to share your results.

I would prefer making refinements and releasing those old models as new models for two reasons: 1) we the consumer would benefit from the advancements in manufacturing and materials technology, and 2) it would be a shame to decrease the lore or monetary value of those neat old models. I think I unde...

Blades, Thanks for the reply. I like your practical choices for everyday carry. It makes a lot of sense to carry a backup in the left front pocket(a shorter blade on that weak side makes a lot of sense too.) You have inspired me with the challege to access both within 2 seconds. I have been apprehen...
